Same principal. Wrong player. That was Markieth. Regardless for him this isn't about his results. This is about how far ahead he is with his recovery. Personally I was most looking forward to getting him in rotation till the injury came along. If he can contribute at all this year let alone be a factor would be HUGE.

We’ve got a shorter than usual off season where we can discuss good or bad about players… natty time now

Rooooster season starts in 2 weeks

No doubt in mind there will be a couple more guys that leave after tomorrow night. But that is a Tuesday/Wednesday discussion for sure

Not sure … he Was recovering from a major leg injury
Was he with the team in 2025? Can't remember seeing him on the sideline.

Seems like we’re missing out on a good one

For the fourth straight year, the Canes have landed a defensive star from Miami Central with the signing of blue-chip S/Nickel Amari Wallace.

The 5’11, 175-pound Wallace lines up all over the defensive backfield for the Rockets and has blocked multiple kicks on special teams. He is a four-year starter and team captain for one of the top programs in the nation. He also played 7on7 for Coach Duasso and RAW Miami. Wallace has frequently been compared to Kam Kinchens, another alum of Coach Duasso’s program

I wonder how healthy he is post injury since he's had a season to recover
Thought about the same thing… seeing in the NFL guys getting fined big, getting contracts voided and/or getting released for not rehabbing like they are supposed to seems like the “forced out” would/could be the CFB equivalent.

Not saying that’s the case with Wallace but Mario processing dudes like 2010 Saban.

Welcome to business boys. Players can’t have their cake and eat it too - you wanna be paid and treated like a pro? Can do, that means you’re expendable now too, just like the pros.

All those years the locals jacked UM around and held them hostage in recruiting, well guess what? UM has the advantage in the new environment and doesn’t have to cater to get or keep quality players here, we’ll just go national. That also means no loyalty and keeping any injured, problem or kids who didn’t pan out just because they’re local. Saban taught Mario well. Love it.
