I saw 5 passes that neither Kayaa nor Heaps can make

He should be back for Nebraska game. The defense is playing good enough to win games, if the offense can get better QB play there might be a chance to save this season.

We need him back for Nebraska. I would like for him to play against Arkansas State and get some rhythm with the team but damnit I hope he is back for Nebraska or ACC play.

He's a much better spot passer than Kaaya is at this point, and in an offense that stays away from anything downfield it is a necessary skill to have. Just his throwing the passes will have a huge impact on yards after catch because he can put it where the athletes can catch and run.

Ryan said he would like to be back for the Nebraska game ..... two weeks after surgery ... doenst mean it will happen. Besides, with this O Line do you want a guy with a bad knee at QB

I hear you Vern. The problem is that Golden wouldn't put him in last years to replace a one legged QB. Then again, we have seen Golden's judgement sucks so many Williams is actually great. Since Williams is about a 9th year senior, maybe he has the balls to change every play Coley sends in and call his own game, THEN we might have a chance.

not sure i am sold on williams if he couldn't beat out Morris. then again golden makes bad decisions

This, but thats only if ryan comes back, kaaya is too jumpy in the pocket and throws ducks, heaps is a dam midget and cant see over the linemen

Really is a shame that this guy got hurt...big difference on how we would be doing so far

Williams is a smart QB, not gifted in any particular way but smart enough to distribute the ball and let the athletes be athletic. I thought they should have switched to him last year and I think having him start at Nebraska and better yet play at least a half against Arky State would be beneficial - if he is ready. Given Nebraska's struggles Saturday they may not be as formidable as previously thought. Ryan will have the team behind him - no doubt - and that will be a great help. Of course the best help would be to have someone calling the plays and setting the strategies and adjustments that has a clue. Perhaps they can get volunteers from the stands - couldn't be any worse then what we've got now.

Oh and to add to that - Kaaya should also be rotated in and out to rest Ryan and gain experience - also to be on the sidelines with the play caller whomever that may be (hopefully not Coley {as possibly directed by Golden???}

Ryan Williams *would have been* better than our two current QBs. Not sure how he is now, though..

I'm with all those that wonder why he didn't get the nod over Snickers when it was beyond clear he was done last year. Why wouldn't we put in a healthy Williams? Is it because he's not that good, or is it because Golden is that big a piece of trash?

Devils Advocate - Say we put him in and he starts winning. We eek out 7ish wins. Golden probably still stays. Is that what we want, what's best for the team? It's clear Golden is trash, that's not up for discussion here. Just the immediate future of the program.

Don't worry -- with this o-line and Coley the Clown's play calling no QB on the planet is getting us more than 5 wins.
