Ryan Rodriguez is not injured

Beast mode. Watch him snap it and hustle out to the perimeter to clean out the CB on the Barkate TD (great blocking by everybody on this play):

He's one of the best in the nation, but got a bunch of haters on here.

Good for Ryan. The last of the Manny Diaz recruits is a good one.

…destroyed the DB on Spida Coop’s 61-yard catch and run. Mali also had a great block, but Rodriguez destroyed that dude.

Congdon did his job nicely too. Watch the LG.

This is what we all talk about with OL play, and really blocking in general. Rodriguez blows his guy up, which is great. Genuinely. Look how fired up he is after, which is awesome to see. Everyone loves a nice crushing block or hit. But Congdon is just as effective. You don’t have to pancake people. Just get in the way. That’s all he does, and it’s a house call. SJ has had a few plays this year where he’s out in space and doesn’t touch anyone. That’s the difference between a 10 yard gain and a 60 yard house call. Just identify your man and get in his way. Let the skill talent do the rest. Great job to Rod and Congdon here. Look at Samson, they’re so outnumbered and the play design (fake pull tunnel to the opposite side, we run it all the time) is so good, there’s no one for him to even block. He’s looking around like uhhhh, hello?

Gorgeous.
