As of today, their facility is closed for 10 days - that means reopening the Tuesday before the Michigan game , Dec.8th. There were more positive tests yesterday from the Friday test. They will almost certainly miss not only this week vs. Illinois but next week vs. MSU as well. due to the 21 day protocol in the Big 10. This means the max number of games OSU plays is likely 5....
The minimum games played to qualify for Big 10 Championship is approx. 6. It was just said on Game Day that the Big 10 office said that for that number to change, based on the way it is calculated, 12 of the next 14 Big 10 games would have to be cancelled.
It could be Northwestern vs Indiana in the Big 10 Championship. What does that mean for the CFP spots? What if Northwestern is the undefeated champion of the Big 10? If the other conferences - SEC and ACC most likely- have teams that play 10+ games, how do you justify including Ohio State with 5 games? The CFP committee came out yesterday and said there are no game requirements to be considered. Seems like groundwork already being laid here....
Also, IF OSU plays and beats Michigan, and Wisconsin wins out, they could play each other in the "2" game on Dec. 19th. OSU could finish with 6 wins if they play and win that game...
