Do we plan to only use Fletcher in the post season or do we expect Brown and/or Pringle to get some carries?

I was sort of blown away that Marty Brown did not get any burn during the TAMU game. I thought that game favored his style perfectly. I also thought Pringle would have gotten more than one cursory carry. Are either of these guys expected to get reps during the Ohio State game or do we plan to use one back for the entire playoff?

Personally, I'd like to see more two back sets with Fletcher and Brown, adding in some passing plays to Brown. He'd be perfect for a Spider 2 Y-Banana type of play. Im just not sure Dawson is capable of coming up with something like this. (I'm not a fan of Shannon Dawson - AT ALL).

What's deal on RB depth here?

I like getting Brown involved in the passing game. Should be our 3rd down (medium+) back against OSU. I don't think he gives us anything in the running game that Fletcher doesn't. He's averaging less than 4ypc on the season. I think we need Pringle in this game. OSU can be had for explosive runs outside (especially to the left side).

Dawson also likes to bring Toney and Lofton into the backfield with Fletcher. Gives him a lot more options for plays.

By the time they had their backfield appearances and with how well Fletcher was running, we just didn't have enough plays against A&M.

Dawson doesn't have to come up with Spider 2 Y- Banana. He just has to install and call it.

The bold font is what I take issue with. Marty Brown gives Dumbson the same options as Lofton with much better blocking ability.

Again, Im of the opinion that Brown should be getting 5-8 carries and be target a few times out of the backfield. That could be the antidote to OSU's blitz packages.

Pringle is really fast the last thing you wanna do in a game where the team you’re facing gives up zero explosives is to get a kid like that the ball in space.

I dont like that double RB shotgun formation all that much. Prefer not to see it that much.

Pistol, lets see more. It worked well for the run game.
I think there's a place for it in spots against OSU with Fletcher and Pringle. Fletcher is the best lead blocker we have. we could try to pop Pringle outside with Fletcher leading and some pullers.

Agree we can't rely on it, since we're really limited passing wise with just 2 WR. We only ran the pony without a TE for a couple of plays against Stanford (think it was them).

ill keep saying it but were the heck is the RB screens???...with all the aggressive d-lines we been facing its a good way to slow down the pass rush a bit and give them something to think about.

We should run more than the zero RB screens we run, but OSU isn't the team to start trying it against. They don't blitz a ton and Curry and Jackson are elite at recognizing them. The few I saw in OSU games were just wasted plays/near disasters. I like trying that TE middle screen to Lofton we nearly popped against UF though.
