Dunno, by "couldn't get help with", is he referencing the ability to extend a commitable offer? Seems to be implying that he'd built a relationship with the player, had him ready to commit and "couldn't get help" - meaning he either didn't have the authority to extend an official/commitable offer or didn't have the support of Baker/Banda/Diaz in terms of bringing the recruit onboard.
Is this the kid that tore off the UM gear on signing day? If so, perhaps some resentment there from a kid who wanted in.

The most stubborn of coaches Alfred Golden did not want Perryman, and Barrow convinced him to offer. That's what you have to do as a position coach sometimes...
He couldn't land Henderson, Mullen, Stevenson, Marshall, Campbell, Surtain, ETC. , yet the names never mentioned are the ones we hear he wanted and Manny wouldn't give the green light on.
I can't stand Manny, but that's BS he didn't get help. The man just can't recruit, nor develop.
Him, Baker, and Patke have no business being involved with Hurricane football.
