Rumor

I’m going to be screaming 6-1 all night. This feels different than Golden’s 7-0 in 2014. This is a team hopefully learning how to win, just barely good enough when they’re not playing their best, especially under the adversity of this evening.

As far as the defense it was vomitory for a good part of the night.

The main problem in the first half is that were just playing too soft, and the players were playing slow - very tentative. Replay it and watch it. I’ve been watching it - very very tentative.

6-1 6-1 6-1 6-1

We had a much better o-line that year in 2013. They gave Dallas Crawford of all people plenty of push and running lanes. It all fell apart late in the year because our d’efense turned to mush.

Love the fight in this team to come back tonight but the jury is still out on everyone this season, staff, players, etc.

We were down 10 in the 4th to UNC on the road that year too and found a way to win.

D’eriq King played like one of the best players in the country tonight.

There was little leader ship on defense all game. Guys like Phillips and Bolden should be downright embarrassed. I think they wake themselves up and play some decent ball coming up.

Something needs to be done about Baker and Rumph but it won’t. I have a better chance at winning the lotto than them getting canned this year. I would like to see Manny take over the d if he did in fact in the 4th quarter. We should never let teams like NC State do what they did to us tonight.

**** of a win and the offense was very impressive aside for a few questionable play calls, the OL run block, and drops by Pope and Wiggins.

Enjoy the W tonight and let’s get healthy and clean it up for next week and going forward.

No’D gave up yards but not so much in the points.. bend don’t break. If we could average 32 per game back then we would have won more games

I tried saying that for whatever issues we have with some of the player caliber on defense that we have enough high 3 and 4 stars to be better than what we’ve seen and I got the slurper cold treatment.

Def not a slurper - it’s a fact. We have more athletes on defense than the majority of teams in the country. The scheme is horrendous. Diaz needs to take over.

People on here call this “Diaz”s defense” but it’s not. His defense from a few years ago was way more aggressive, had more sacks, TFL, and more turnovers. This feels more like a bend but not break defense. I get D’Onofrio flashbacks watching us make average QBs look like Tom Brady.

Baker can pack his bags as far as I’m concerned, but let no one invoke Dorito’s name as being better than the smegma from an uncircumcised WWI trench soldier.

That fat Jersey fūck was not only a bad DC with a horrific scheme, he was arrogant and condescending about it. He literally thought he was the smartest defensive coordinator in all of college football.

Where the fūck is he now?

I want the wins. I want to keep the class. I’m good with the offensive coaching staff and what they’re trying to do for the most part. But the defense is a house of cards with Baker and Rumph not able to do what we need to see. That needs to change. Slurpers will defend them but it’s not defensible. We have a coaching problem on that side of the ball and Manny brought them all back.

If I can ban my friends here for 2 weeks for Panalytical ( full credit to @zeeblet01) jokes, Manny can ban those guys.

no doubt they played horribly tonight, this is the worst game I’ve seen this particular defense play in two or three years. There’s no two ways about it. Just chalk it up to a bad game, and a lot of bad playcalling from the DC

Yeah sure he can ban them. But not in the middle of the season

Discussion for the offseason at this point, but I mean how can anyone justify keeping this defensive staff.

What value do any of them bring? Bunch of bums
Baker and Rumph should be gone. Rumph especially. The DB's don't turn their heads and he can't recruit so he's literally useless. Baker, its just not Miami football man. I know it's an offensive game, but this isn't the way a Miami team plays D. Manny has preached that we will play Miami ball and he has shown that he will fix problems. So what's it going to be? I would not be surprised if Baker is gone after the season... I also would not be surprised if he isn't gone.

Interesting to see what the excuses are going to be. This was an embarrassing performance by the D, there's no sugar coating it, cooking the stats or moving the goalposts. Baker was straight exposed, and anyone who can't see it by now is either a blood relative or on the spectrum.
What if I told you... Blake Baker will be here as long as Manny Diaz is head coach....
