Blake will be fired.

Total clean slate in athletic department.

In 2022, University of Miami work together with the ownership of Inter Miami and announce to expand plans of new stadium (by the airport) to 40K-45K seats and agree on a deal to share stadium.
Anyone explain what happened with that to me? I tend to stay out of the muck of the board and pop in and out of posts that aren't mine or D$, but I've seen reference to this a few times. You know sometimes, I really really think about making a fake account and Dan Sileo Jr’ing yall *** just to see how far it could go.
To this day, that is still the best troll I have ever seen. Not only for a message board, but in life in general. RIP to da goat.

Now this thread is a complete lie (but it generates traffic), that said, TCU's stadium seats 45k.You had me until the InterMiami clowntardery.
No way could we host FSU or Notre Dame on a football pitch that’s configured for 45000 people max. Besides, Ross has the University by the balls with that lease.
@Paranos where did you find her? I want her posting on the board.
they'll just build another one right next to itI have a feeling Freedom Park is going to end up with less than 20K seats.
Pretty sure our lease with Hard Rock goes through 2032, so good luck with that.
Lawwwwwwwwd
Well not paying $4M annually saves us $120M over 30 years so I am sure we could eat $40M to do that. That said, we are never building a stadium.Although it's a pipe dream, it was discussed 6 years ago.
If UM didn't negotiate a buyout, they would still be on the hook for about 40 million. Hypothetically, lets say Ross played ball (maybe the county gives him tax breaks to make up or something) and knocked 10 mil off the buyout due to discounted cash flow. Now it's down to 30 million. Then UM agrees to play two of its expected highest attendance games at Hard Rock every year through 2032, so it knocks off another 4-6 million. In theory, UM might be able to get out of the lease for 20-25 million, and offset that with more tax relief from the city (which offered UM 200+ million to keep and renovate the Orange Bowl). I don't believe it will happen, but the lease isn't as big an obstacle as it may initially appear.
Which airport, MIA or Tamiami?Just remember where you read this….

Also fans away from the field is an issue in a soccer stadium. So you would go from sharing a large football stadium with a professional football franchise in a central location to sharing a small stadium with a soccer franchise near Miami airport? What crack den did that rumor come out of?
The only reason Miami should leave hard rock is because they built their own stadium.
