Rumor Mill seems awfully quiet today

General Custer replied to his sergeant who said it was awfully quiet out there , "Yeah, it is too quiet ." The rest is history and so shall it be here.

quite refreshing for a change. Every time a rumor gets tweeted another contradicting it comes out a bit later. I am at a point where when it happens it happens then I will let myself get emotional one way or another.

This will be laughed at like it’s some crazy conspiracy theory lol. They want updates so bad they don’t care it’s true or not. Even though all the leaks , tweets and updates are bogus. Yet they’ll still freak out at the next guy who “ posts what he’s heading”.
I won't call it a conspiracy theory but it does seem like a very buttoned up and perfect ending to a process that has been anything but. People dreaming of a weekend whirlwind of events seem overly hopeful if they're actually still interviewing ADs today.

The posters that have previously said "pay attention to what's not being said," are absolutely correct. No announcement of Diaz returning. No announcement of Mario staying or getting extended. Ditto for Lane (although I doubt he's a real candidate.)
This. If Manny was returning, there would be a statement. Manny isn't doing his usual radio shows. All of this shows that there is a lot in the background. What the end result is, only time will tell. But if he was coming back. Someone from the Board, or UM athletics, or Manny himself would have come out and said something.

Said to be the day on a free fan internet message board by people who don't know a single thing, at all.
I understand what you’re saying. I’m in totally understanding that the Mario situation is going on and we need to wait until the weekend. I am one that listens and appreciates the detail that @Cribby drops on us. I’m just talking about the topics in general. Yesterday we had some good reads.

Actually, upon sighting the first Indian, Custer shouted, "Battalion, charge!" Two minutes, later he yelled, "Oh, ****!" The rest is history.

Who needs rumors, we get enough entertainment from the posters right here. I mean, I swear someone is going to give themself a stroke worrying if a guy from New Mexico that they know nothing about is going to be the next AD. As if anyone in here outside of 1 or 2 people even has any idea how to asses an athletic director or could name two of them prior to BJ being canned.

It really doesn't make sense for an AD not to be hired by no later than Friday. Everything else I get, but the length of the AD search seems ridiculous at this point considering the timeline that's supposed to coincide. You're going to hire an AD, fire Manny, hire Mario all within a 48 hour period? Maybe that's what ends up happening, but if we're waiting til the Pac-12 champ game to end, you're not hiring a HC or firing an HC without an AD most likely...so the longer this takes, the longer it takes to get to the final change.
