Rumor: Cristobal in the MIX

So, Saban (the best in the business) hired him and he's coached Bama's Oline for 3 year, but he sucks??? This is ridiculous. Saban has shown that he'd fire incompetent coaches. He woudn't keep a "terrible" coach on staff for 3 years

Alabama's O-line is the strength of their team, and has been for 3 years. They have had dominant O-line play under Cristobal

Would be a bad OL hire. Sucks at coaching OL.

I agree. I'd be fine with him as TE coach but I don't want him near the OL.

Curious, why? I've watched a lot of Alabama games and thought the Oline was a strength. Henry got a lot of help.

It helps when all your lineman are on 'roids.

Their technique is nothing great. And our line in '06 wasn't great either.

Oh the OL filled with Kehoe recruits like Tyrone Byrd, Wollschlager, Morse and AJ Trump. Couldn't imagine that line when you combine it with Rich Olson and Todd Berry calling plays looking like crap.

Co-OC/OL/Recruiting Coordinator? I don't care what anyone else says. I'd take him. I don't blame him for jumping off a sinking ship.

Co-OC? That would be a disaster. Who's more qualified? Swasey to run S&C or Cuban Alf to be co-OC?

Co-OC is just a title to feed these guys' egos. We all know Richt is calling plays.

He can bring the roads, HGH, bagmen....whatever it takes. Tired of playing with one hand tied behind our back.

I'm with you but that doesn't make Cristobal a good choice for OL coach.

No thanks. We need a real OL coach, not a recruiter. Our OL is a mess.

Bama has one of the best OL's in the nation.... Are they great cause he's a great OL coach or cause he's a great recruiter?
Best OL's based on what stat(s)? They are 85th in the nation in tackles for loss per game.

do you watch their games?
So in other words, you do not have any stats to back your claim that they are "the best OL in the nation".

Based the fact that they've helped produce a HEISMAN TROPHY winning running back, and a 2000 yard rusher.

And because the Oline has only given up 20 sacks in 14 games

We were 8th in nation for tackles for loss allowed. So.....

we were #1 in the Nation in getting our QB zero time to make throws and getting him destroyed whenever he tried going downfield

don't have to look up stats. I watched the games and in my limited opinion.... our OL sucks, Bama's OL very good. Any tard can come to that conclusion, but go look up your stats buddy
