The one thing I know for sure after following this board is that Saban is stupid. Would be a horrible hire....

Maybe he would be Co-OC

No thanks. We need a real OL coach, not a recruiter. Our OL is a mess.

Bama has one of the best OL's in the nation.... Are they great cause he's a great OL coach or cause he's a great recruiter?
Best OL's based on what stat(s)? They are 85th in the nation in tackles for loss allowed per game.

We were 8th in nation for tackles for loss allowed. So.....

we were #1 in the Nation in getting our QB zero time to make throws and getting him destroyed whenever he tried going downfield

Yeah, I'm agreeing with you on this.

You can't look at that stat where Bama is in the 80's and we're in the top 10 and honestly say that our OL is better than Bama's.

So, Saban (the best in the business) hired him and he's coached Bama's Oline for 3 year, but he sucks??? This is ridiculous. Saban has shown that he'd fire incompetent coaches. He woudn't keep a "terrible" coach on staff for 3 years

Alabama's O-line is the strength of their team, and has been for 3 years. They have had dominant O-line play under Cristobal

Dont you know that people on this board know more than Saban.... geez...

Here are advanced OL stats for 2015. Bama wasn't in the top 10 in any category:
FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | 2015 NCAA OFFENSIVE LINE STATS

Wow our line was terrible. While they weren't top 10, they were very good, solid. Not sure how they adjust for competition level.

I also think it's really hard to gauge OL production just by looking at stats. A lot of these numbers are skewed because of the offenses the teams run.

For example, an option team that throws 10 times a game is obviously going to be ranked extremely high in sacks allowed. Look at teams like Air Force and Navy. Pro style teams usually get effed when it comes to these stats because they run a balanced offense.

I know WTH's source and it appears legit. That's the speculation among other corching staffs.n

Why hasn't Saban fired this terrible coach, after 3 seasons?

Why is Saban paying this terrible coach a half a million dollars?

Why isn't he being encouraged to move on from Bama?

How did a terrible O-line produce a 2000 yard back and a Heisman trophy winner?

Why do most experts consider Alabama's oline one of the best in college football?

This whole "Cristobal" sucks / Alabama's oline sucks, narrative that's being presented here doesn't stand up to the tests of facts and scrutiny.

You guys are nuts!

Bama wouldn't be winning anything if it wasn't for their massive South Florida pipeline.

Truth is Jake Coker is so **** good other teams have to play away from the line. You just can't stop the run if you have to defend against The Coker Cannon.

do you watch their games?
So in other words, you do not have any stats to back your claim that they are "the best OL in the nation".

don't have to look up stats. I watched the games and in my limited opinion.... our OL sucks, Bama's OL very good. Any tard can come to that conclusion, but go look up your stats buddy

Man , the looney tunes that show up. The best coach in college football that is known for being a hard *** keeps a terrible coach on staff for three years Bama's OL is very disciplined unlike our Keystone Cops OL Cristobal is a high energy, hard working coach that fits perfectly with Saban It will be great to have him on staff
