My dude, if you don’t believe we weren’t going to get hit with worse sanctions than what received then you’re clueless. NCAA completely ****ed up the investigation and Shalala capitalized on it.

We have a lot of fans that are too blinded by their irrational hatred of Dr. Shalala to understand what actually happened. Miami went from "Their program should be buried under the jail", to "Miami is getting a raw deal and the NCAA is full of crap". That was because Miami started fighting the fight in the media and did a **** good job of publicizing the nonsense the NCAA was doing. The NCAA realized early on that they didn't have a legit case outside of Shapiro, and they became desperate.

The sad part is that they cared more about a booster hooking kids up with dinner at Benihana's, compared to a school covering up widespread child abuse....

Many people are consumed by their politics and can’t be rational. Miami got very, very….VERY lucky. NCAA was going to destroy us and Shalala handled it well with suspensions, bowl ban, cooperating, etc. NCAA dropped the ball with their investigation and Shalala went on attack mode. It could have been a lot worse.
