Ruiz: Decisions are expected to be made today.

Fugg all dat...dem $hitbirds (Oregon) aint do all this when that team up north wanted willie tagless. Now they all up in our grape Kool-Aid wanting a sip.

But I do think if it's Oregon it wouldn't have taken this long. I'd be surprised if he doesn't come.

I get it. But the school says the AD will decide the coach. (For optics I'm sure) And we have three credible sources saying AD and coach is done. Just waiting on announcement. I'll take those two stances and say we got Mario in the bag and announcement will happen by Monday. Maybe Tuesday.

The good thing is they only have till this morning to make the offer. From what I have heard after this morning negotiations are off and he is ours if the amount is not met.
 
Contract was sent yesterday. Just need to ink on paper.

From personal experience, in my business, i deal with contracts all the time and know nothing is ever a “done deal” until it’s signed.

Ok, but did Mario say this or not? That said it doesn't seem the gap is insurmountable. Numbers that have been reported are pretty comparable.
 
Yes , No , Yes, No…. Getting tired of this , being 71 going to need a long vacation for my heart to relax. For all you insiders , I don’t have any idea nor does the peps at HC like John or Chris… they also have no idea. I tried to get info as if they tell me anyway . But no one knows and we shall just see if they make a change or we are with the same group tomorrow on the recruiting trail.

It’s not but we won’t be getting a home town discount either. We have the better deal on the table as of last night. Also there’s a crazy amount of money going to the football program. He’s gotten everything he’s wanted and then some.

If he chooses Oregon it’s either they threw a Hail Mary , enormous bag late or he’s just that loyal to Phil and those kids. Which I’m sure some would laugh at but he’s a legit dude who cares about loyalty and his players. He’s not a cutthroat , emotionless guy like say a Brian Kelly. Mario is a savage but a loyal one. Phil hooked his wagon to Mario and he remembers that. Phil believing in him is what gotten him to this point.

That being said I expert Mario to ink with Miami today. Hopefully he slept well.

Mario REPORTEDLY gave Baylor a $9 million dollar figure 2 years ago. That was BEFORE the crazy new contracts over the past few weeks. If he did that THEN .. he would probably be going for $12 -15 million to stay .. LSU money. I don't think Oregon wants to go down that road. It's not just Knight and his billions .. it is a precedent.

Exactly. All about commitment and loyalty. Less about the true $ and more about the backing, trust, and commitment. That should be common sense for anyone on here. His own **** family is paying for him to come home

No, I know nothing about Mario’s thought process. I‘m just saying that typically if you throw enough money at someone, it will impact their decision making. If Oregon does something crazy and offers him 11 or 12 million per year that will be very hard to turn down.
