Rueben Bain says....

I see Bain getting better each game. I have a prediction: If Bain finishes the season like this, he will be a first team freshman all ACC, first team freshman all American, and freshman defensive player of the year.

If Frank Gore was a DE

He doesn’t have the freakish size, length, or speed that some of the flashy prototype edge rushers has

But all he does is make plays. He does all the little things well and he just knows how to play the game
If you don’t think being 275 at age 18-19 and pushing around grown mean 3-4 years older than you like toddlers is freakish size idk what to tell you.

Any five star D-tackle would be a fool to not want to play along side Rueben Bain for the next few years.

Facts. The talent, the humility, the work ethic. He represents everything we should want and need here. So grateful Mario was able to close him.
Glad he came here cause if he went elsewhere and was balling people would say he wouldn’t do that here cause of “coaching”

That kid plays like that anywhere in cfb day one

Yep. He's special. He's the rare breed of 5 star talent but has the hunger and desire of a walk on. Wish we could clone him.

I slightly misspoke

What I meant was those 5 star guys that are 6-5 with big wingspans

But I legit thought people here were smart enough to realize what I meant

Thanks for proving me wrong

I think Dabo is a bit genuine

Norvell is an obvious phony. He caters to the sycophantic needs of FSU culture and is disingenuine with recruits and only wants them to serve his purpose. The clapping, all that, pure show

Say what you want about Mario but I do think he cares about what happens to the players under his watch. The stupid PF call on Keonte during UNC when asked Mario said "If he did what I heard he did, he deseved it". Most coaches would not have said that
Dabo is as fake as they come. Personally, I once defended the guy, I know several families of players he recruited. As I learned more about his recruiting 'strategies' it was not so easy to defend him.

He's a phony who took complete advantage of a corrupt system. Now, due to NIL contracts, he no longer has an advantage. He cannot stand it. Watching him squirm from one week to the next is something I enjoy much more than I should.

Probably not, the writers always choose someone else

Derrick Strait won the Thorpe and not 26

It will be hard to deny Bain if he continues to put in the work. I heard from someone over the summer that he was a workout monster in high school and when he arrived at UM. I also heard he was a leader and didn’t like selfish or stupid teammates and that he didn’t take crap from anyone. I can see a big difference between what I witnessed with his play in game 1 and now, that he is continuing to improve tremendously during the season. There is no freshman wall for him. That means he has great work habits, is hungry and continues to put in the work. Bain is probably already one of the strongest and fastest DL in the ACC. The power and explosiveness is evident, and Jason Taylor is teaching him an ****nal of tricks and techniques and Bain is learning.

If he continues to put in the same effort and energy, he will be very special. However, he has to continue to work hard and develop because he obviously isn’t there yet

I realize different positions…but anyone else feel that he is in the mold of a Jerome in regard to talent and attitude?

Bain is just a great reminder that you don’t overlook guys who just know how to play football. Yes the measurements and analytics matter but so does production with size that translates. I can’t imagine his game moving forward now that he knows he can not only hang but will start to be double teamed. Getting Messidor back would be so key for this late stretch.

He's the best true freshman in the country, he is going to be an absolute
By the end of the season, we might be calling him the best player in the nation Regardless of year. Helll, we may be saying he’s the best colllege football player to ever come out of central.
