Rueben Bain says....

I think Dabo is a bit genuine

Norvell is an obvious phony. He caters to the sycophantic needs of FSU culture and is disingenuine with recruits and only wants them to serve his purpose. The clapping, all that, pure show

Say what you want about Mario but I do think he cares about what happens to the players under his watch. The stupid PF call on Keonte during UNC when asked Mario said "If he did what I heard he did, he deseved it". Most coaches would not have said that

If Frank Gore was a DE

He doesn’t have the freakish size, length, or speed that some of the flashy prototype edge rushers has

But all he does is make plays. He does all the little things well and he just knows how to play the game
The biggest thing that stands out is the kid is built like an 300 year old oak tree in his bottom half. I know @Memnon pointed this out with his breakdown last year. I personally was looking at his height as a potential detriment but reality is that this kid has a next level base that gives him freakish strength to go along with an elite motor and solid technique. He isn’t going to be a Myles Garrett that is a terror around the edge, but he will make plays by overwhelming his blocker(s). That last sack in the 4th was some Khalil Mack **** where he just rag dolled that Tackle.

Lastly, playing JHH standing up and having a front of JHH Taylor Bain and I think Dean was real stout against the Clemson run game. I can see Bain being a top tier DT if he keeps getting bigger. Kid is a monster and once again I stand corrected, the fact he wasn’t a 5 star was a slight against him.

I think he may have the freakish strength. The play where he throws off the RTackle like Reggie White is awesome, For a true freshman to do that is practically unheard of.

He absolutely does

I made the comment about his strength numbers increasing a few times this season. He already had freakish strength but what I don’t think he was ever much in a weight room (typical for south Florida it seems) or if he was there wasn’t a huge structure to it

So him plus a legit S&C program is gonna be scary

I think my post downplayed a bit. He’s not some lunchpail get more done with less guy, just saying he’s not that 6-5, 10ft wingspan kinda guy people drool over. But he’s a ****** wrecking ball

I actually love Mario as a person and leader. He clearly puts in 20 hours, 7 days a week, and cares more about this program than anyone. Real love for his players (although we said that about Al too)…

But he needs massive help with game management. It’s all covered up by the win last night. But some more inexcusable lapses last night. They’re not even difficult decisions he messes up. It’s easy stuff, which makes it even tougher to take.

Can’t measure heart. This kid has it. Type of kid that hates losing and will do anything to avoid that feeling. Old school bad ***.

Yep. Just thinking what could be if he cleans up that one aspect and it's easy to do. Canes could definitely put a dominant run together. Someone has to be in his ear about this. I would think zo has to have said something.

I remember thinking he had some Nick Bosa in him in high school, but built like a fire hydrant

I wasn’t sure how that would play out in college but what I saw was a kid that could do work in tight spaces (pause)

Lots of guys in high school look great just out rushing a high school tackle and blowing up a play, but he does the dirty work at an elite level for his age, much like Bosa did (does)

It was hard to appreciate all he’s doing in there until you really take time to rewatch it. Super impressive

I still think next year He will be playing inside. He just keeps reminding me of a young Aaron Donald, who started his freshman year on the edge. Their size and traits are eerily similiar. Donald has played his NFL career at 285-290. Reuben is already at 270.
