I have heard many people say that when the Miami Hurricanes won the national championship a few months after September 11, it united the country and helped America heal from a devastating tragedy.

Do you think it hasn't been political? It's always been political, just at the local/regional level.

Also, I think the President "getting involved" means more than you might initially think. Imagine the corruption that can be unearthed if it is actually investigated. Isn't that what we all want? I am sick of being on the short end of the stick due to biases, and God knows what else.
