Rousseau pic

OG respect. You were real hard on Rousseau when we recruited him. I think most of us lukewarm liked him because of his potential 2-3 yrs down the road. Nobody could have guessed this kid could would be on the fast track this quick.

I was mostly down to the comp level and i thought his frame was NARROW. If folks could remember. It isnt as Narrow as i thought he has the frame to add more weight rather easily actually.
I'm not going to expect much this year...to temper enthusiasm. But if he has a package he will give some opposing tackles issues.

With how thin we are at DE, he will play a lot. Coaches have been talking about him too much this off season to not give him some good PT. Also, he’s a big recruiting tool for us to say “freshman play at the U” etc.

One of the rare times that I disagreed with you I loved this kid the first highlight I saw of him. So glad we took his commit early. He dominated his senior year too. Was already growing into that freak body of his last September.

p.s. OT but I wasn’t really high on your MNW DB who went to UGA. I’m interested in seeing how he ultimately turns out too. You’re hit rate has to be above 80%, probably 90% with your picks though.
Yeah, you could see the potential. He was obviously a guy that didn't have ONE position, but was so crazy athletic he could play 10. All that talk about the FSU scrub that could, "play every position on defense", and here's a guy that actually could do just that. Not to mention his insane redzone ability on O. He's going to be really good here.

Divaad was already stealing reps when he got hurt. They had him slated for that (star position). He was already 195pds. We f*cked that up.(should have been all over him regardless of any beef)..Kid will be the goods most definitely. Thanks i appreciate it...your probably right on the percentages. lmao (joking)

So what was the real "beef" with Wilson?

I have no clue. I Think Pete said him and Frierson had issues or something like that. I think they honestly just got on him late and was unaware of the talent..since he was a Pace transfer. But then they have strange evals at times as they are kind of late on Elam now..who has been known about for 2 years now in Palm Beach.

Exhibit A as to why there is a difference between 3 stars that the coaching staff has been on from jump and 3 stars from out of state that Golden used to sign at the last minute as plan D recruits.
Like that Njoku guy? ;o)

Man, when he first signed, I was like "OK, he's a project but maybe he can fill out and eventually become a solid contributor." Then when Spring started, I was like "****, maybe this kid can get some reps as a pass rush specialist right away." Now, I see him as a regular in the rotation who may push for a starting spot as soon as this season. He is certainly putting in the work in the weight room. Good for him.

i just ran into him this morning and he's substantially bigger than when i first met him when he ee'd and through class (also still one of the most respectful people, football or otherwise, that i've met in my life). also, ford looks lean and ready to murder someone. felder and bellamy are doing some serious work on these kids.

He is still a freshman. He looked like Kevin Durant when he first got here.
Gotta call you on that claim. I met him at Gameday. He was with Huell, Brown and Lonnie from the bball team. He was much bigger than all three. He was already beginning to look the part then and that was November. He's a top ten pick in 4 years.

2025 NFL version of Simeon Rice

I live in Chicago. I remember when Rice came out of H.S. and signed with Illinois. Despite playing at a high-profile H.S. (Mt Carmel), he was a lightly regarded recruit. Illinois had much higher-rated guys in his recruiting class (that didn't end up doing ****). His FR year in college you could see that he was lightning fast and had arms down to his knees. But the experts missed him.

I bring this up because I think there are kids like this all over the country every year. There are just way too many H.S. players nationwide for the recruiting "experts" to see them all. Even at a H.S. that puts out lots of talent, kids can go relatively unnoticed.

Some will say that the recruiting ratings have improved in recent years. While I think that is true, I don't think they've improved all that much.

IMO this kid is going to be better than Calias Campbell.

Much better body control and athleticism at that freakish height.

I am just glad opposing Offensive Tackles are going to be dead tired by the end of games which will work to our advantage.
No offensive lineman is going to want to see Jackson and Garvin and then this Frosh Freak down after down after down.
Qb's are going to be running for their lives in most games.
