Suppose Saturday isn’t his ceiling? Suppose he’s actually making modest improvement and Saturday’s game only gives him more confidence to look off safety’s and go through his progressions better? Suppose he’s morphing into a better running version of Joe Burrow? Suppose he can be 5% completions better on the road and in conference than he was last year? Suppose instead of throwing the balls that became interceptions last year, he throws one third out of bounds and tucks and runs or takes a sack on the other third?

I think Rosier will string together a few of these games against conference opponents this year. I have no idea what his ceiling is but I think it’s higher than Saturday.
I'd be thrilled if you were correct, but unfortunately I think we have enough of a sample size to draw reasonable conclusions. He's just not consistently accurate, especially down the field. And Richt likes to push the ball vertically. If he's going to throw 23 times, and several of them are deep or intermediate throws, what you saw Saturday is at or close to the best he's going to do.
But I think the 12 we saw Saturday can beat every team on the schedule not named Clemson.
