Rosier >>>>> Perry

I think Dicht knows he will get embarrassed by GT, and is starting Perry as a **** You to the fans and to protect his Rosier fetish

I guess the standard for playing “really well” is passing for 35 yards and 31% completion percentage. Or throwing 2 pics in 4 series of play to open a game.
Perry has never played well against meaningful competition. He’s had a few good throws every once in while but has never played well.

If all things are equal then play the QB who actually has a chance to get better. That would be Perry if there is any confusion. Yes, Perry has had some really bad spells in games but he also has shown that he can throw some passes and make some runs that make announcers and fans go "****". He has the athletic tools but can he get it "between the ears" is the question. He needs to play and be given a fair shake. He struggled at FSU and he came back in the 2nd half to have a decent game. He totally screwed up in the VA game but who knows if he could have rebounded. He never played at BC and he was given some crappy circumstances to have to play in during the Duke game. For the people that forget though, he threw a **** of a pass and had a nice run in the 4th quarter vs Duke and if not for a push off, he did throw for a TD at the end of that game.

I just think it's very unfair to simply say he sucks because it fits the narrative of "Give me Jarren". Let the kid play out the next three games and the bowl game and lets see what he does. I can't stand Richt's gut and I hope he buries it somewhere deep where it can never be found again!

Not sure if you're disagreeing with me or not, but that's kinda my point. Perry has not shown anything this year that proves he's a good D1 QB

Because of Rosiers failures, fans have made Perry out to be Aaron Rodgers.

Rosier plays like **** = QB sucks
Perry plays like **** = scheme sucks

IMO they both are horrible QB’s, but Rosier is slightly better
Perry is still an unknown, but he might suck. Rosier does suck. Either way, the scheme sucks.

It’s called a “scheme” because you plot and plan in order to utilize your strengths to beat an opponent.

That’s just not happening.

Not disagreeing he should play over Rosier. I have no idea if Williams is ready or any good for that matter. So playing Nkosi over Williams is fine. However, Nkosi is NOT even a decent QB at this point in his career. He might have some physical ability but he has looked awful in every game he started. He might be the best QB on the roster right now, which is not saying much, except telling us all our QBs are dog****. I see young QBs playing light years better than NKosi every week. Hopefully he improves.

Guys keep claiming Perry can improve, but every time he plays he looks worse. Hopefully, GT will be his turning point moment where he looks like something other than a confused, scattered mess.

So a guy who can’t throw is better than a guy who can kind of throw at QB?

What throws has perry made that Rosier hasn't?

Y'all keep on with this same bull**** line "Perry has more upside"..............based on what? Dude has looked like sh*t everytime he's taken the field

Here's the thing. I rather have the "hope" of a decent QB who can at least throw the ball with some decency then a RB who is masquerading to be a QB. I'm not an expert and I don't claim to be but I do know that a kid who has played in only 4 games vs D1 competition should not be referred to has "dog ----". Not saying you said that SS cane but I know that other posters have said that exact term when referring to Perry's play this year. Let's break this down and clear the air a little regarding Perry's play on the field only....

UNC- 8-12, 132 yards, 1 TD and 1 int.

FSU - 13-32, 204 yards, 4 TD's.

VA- 3-6, 20 yards, 2 int.

BC- Did not play

Duke - 5-16, 35 yards

So here it is written in black and white. A redshirt freshman who never played a snap in D1 football before this year and has been yo-yo'd around by his coach who has done more harm than good in his development IMO should probably be given more time to show what he can/can not do before we pass judgement on him.

I think that sometimes we forget that these athletes that we are judging so harshly are young kids. Some grow faster than others but just because a kid doesn't progress as fast as another kid does not make him a bust. I hate to see what happens if Jarren gets in a game and doesn't perform great. I'm sure there will be people writing him off also and forgetting that he is a young kid who has never played D1 football before this year.

Let's have some patience (and understand that the coaching has been very suspect this year) before we go about writing off kids as busts.....Again just my opinion.

One can't read a defense and can make a throw, the other can read a defense but can't make the throws.

...What a paradox.

Lol Rosier can read defenses? He's only slightly better at reading defenses than Perry whose issue is he lacks experience. I have no idea what the Richts are teaching any of our QBs because they both look same as they did from their HS film.

He could improve with a real QB coach and an OC that's plays to his strengths. Same can be said for Rosier as well but we are sitting here with Jon Richt with zero experience coaching anyone as our QB coach.

Exactly....rosier can’t read a defense at all, cannot throw over the middle at all and cannot anticipate at all. I’ll take a unknown young qb (Perry or Williams) and know that they should improve rather than a known qb that has shown he doesn’t know how to improve

What throws has Rosier made? NONE! He can run with the ball and that’s his upside, that’s it! I said Perry can kind of throw and that’s it, he can get the pass in the vicinity of the WR, TE, etc. Rosier can’t.

Quit dancing around the question, what throws has Perry made that Rosier can’t?
