How can someone not "earn" the job over him. Its a simple drill and at that level you dont throw bad passes during them. There is no D, oline, or anything to get in the way except your own lack of talent. D1 power 5 qb shouldnt be missing that pass that bad.

You must’ve never played sports as a kid. There are kids and men all over all America who can make this pass. Can all those people be a D1 QB, likely not. All I said was he shouldn’t be throwing the ball in the dirt on this simple route in practice. Anyone on this board who grew up playing sports knows this. You obviously didn’t.

Calm down, CIS warriors. Rosier is an average at best passer, and we all know that. But he has some very good intangibles as a Senior that cannot be overlooked. Will he be our starting QB the entire season? Nope. And Richt knows that. He knows you have to go with the vet going into the opener against LSU. You don't throw a first time starter to the wolves like that.

The others just need a little more time. They will/should/better play good minutes against Savannah St, Toledo and FIU to get their feet wet.

By mid-season, it should be a different story altogether.

Reality is -- Season 3 is critical for Richt and the program. We must win and win big, so he has to be very smart about how he handles the QB situation. Rosier initially while grooming the successor with in-game experience against cupcakes -- not against LSU on national TV!
 
We need a sticky thread where we can post videos of our football skills.
