Rosier in midseason form

Bullshlt.

You wouldn’t get one decent throw in

Haha are you kidding me. I played sports growing up and anyone halfway athletic should be able to do that. I was a pitcher in baseball and played QB in middle school and I can still throw that route to this day. Y’all act like this is difficult. It’s a freaking 10 yard cross and he threw it like he is a lineman who is never thrown a ball. Maybe the ball slipped out of his hand. Let’s go with that excuse.

This play aside, he otherwise was decent today, supposedly. That's from someone who watched practice.

WRs and TEs lit up Greentree today, or so it's being said.

But that throw is a microcosm of Malik's career, missing an easy throw badly. I mean he didn't even give the receiver a chance. I really hope he puts together a big year, the kid is a gamer, I just wish he could improve his consistency.

For a while last season I thought rolling Rosier out was the answer to our pass pro problem. Then I saw him roll out and realized that Richt knew what he was doing when he didn't call those plays. The kid is an impressive runner given that he's neither fast nor shifty, but throwing on the run does not appear to be his thing.

Terrible mechanics when rolling out would be my guess. Richt probably wants to keep things as simple as possible for him. I can’t wait till we have a high level QB who can play the position again.

At this point we all know what Rosier is..... Its more concerning to me if nobody can take the starting job from him.

Ima HOPE for the best from Rosier but I pretty much feel he is what he is. A 55% comp rate QB who will help u beat LSU but then later on throw 3 ints and complete under 50% in a loss to the Virginia's or Georgia Tech's of the world.

That's exactly right, he does everything ok. Not knocking the kid for giving us all he has, he just simply lacks the consistency the best QBs possess.

UM

It definitely isn’t. He’s just not accurate on those passes at all for whatever reason and if/since he’s the starting QB I was Hoping he would improve on that

Waits for the usual suspects to say not to overreact despite the large sample size of Rosier being horrible

Can't wait for him to cost us a championship

I have never been one to talk negatively about our players. I know it's a team sport and all, however, this guy cost of like two games last year. And that pass is very representative of him in those games.

Obviously one rep doesn't mean much, but I'm skeptical that he'll improve there. My hope is that experience will help him feel more comfortable in the pocket so that he can make more of the easy passes. We just need him to be a lot better, a little better will do.

He could have won us 2 games had he played better, but the OL could have probably won those games as well with some run blocking. There's enough blame to go around regarding those losses.

I'm not going to kill the kid or take personal shots bc he's a Cane.

That said, a starting QB who needs to complete 65%+ in the season against pressure and chaos needs to complete 99% of those against air. I can accept being slightly off (high, behind) but not those dirt balls. The reason for the uproar is this continues to be a regular thing in both practice and games. For a successful starting QB, it can't.

why do the other team has to be play the pass when you have the guy not hitting wide open wr's all over the field. the best Oklahoma or Nebraska lines had terrible when others didn't respect the pass. I'm praying that that was just one best pass, but we saw some many like that last year.

Ok then hotshot middle school QB video yourself making that throw 50 times while you’re rolling out, right into the hands of the receiver. As a matter fact, I’ll cut you a break, just do it 20 times in a row.

You are a delusional fool. Malik has his issues, but you actually think you’re better than him. You have major mental issues

He’s the starting fūcking quarterback of a P5 top 10 team you fūcking moron. You’re a mope in a basement.

You can’t throw better than him. You live in a fūcking fantasy land.

Get your *** out there and prove it on a video.

This delusional dlckhead thinks he’s a actually better than a guy that set records at Miami last year.

And yes, I am well aware of Malik’s accuracy and throwing errors. But now we got fūcking ****** posters that think they’re good enough to be actual college starting quarterbacks.

Get out there and prove it big boy. Send us the videos.

this!!! I've been posting on this site and it's predecessor - grassy and don't talk negative about our players, especially when coaching is the problem, however, this is on Rosier!

You are delusional and adding words. I didn’t say hit anyone in their hands, actually read the thread. I said it’s underatandble for a QB to miss high, behind, or in front but no excuse to throw a ball in the dirt to a TE 10yds away. I also never said I was a better QB than him. I simply said this isn’t a hard throw and any halfass athlete can make this pass in practice with no defenders. You have created an argument on what you want to believe rather than what was actually said.

Never go full ******, buddy.

Let me buy you a beer or two my man

I think we have to put something in perspective; the ? is y is Rosier still missing these types of throws? It wasn’t just low, it was terrible ball placement. It seems he struggles w roll out plays that involves him throwing. These are not complicated throws, especially in practice w no defenders.

These r the type of incompletions that kills drives and causes frustration among ur receiving targets.

Here’s the thing; if Rosier is struggling w these types of throws, y not have him consistently work on this? Our offense would be so much better if this particular pass play was more accurate b/c of his running ability.

Ugh, just a bad position for game 1, can't throw Perry or Williams out there against this secondary. Then again Rosier might come out and throw 5 picks, what good does it do to get us in the right call when you can't execute? I'm hoping for Doak Rosier.

I agree With this, I wanted Perry to win the job last year and was Hopeful this spring. With that being said I realize he won’t this season but I’m still high on him and just think he needs to develop. If he wants to win he has to put up more efficient performances in the scrimmage situations.

According to folks that know more than we do concerning the QBs, Perry is worse than Rosier at reading defenses...no way this kid is ready for LSU in game 1...that defense will maul him. It's Rosier, or give it to Weldon or Williams.
