He actually played very well against BC and Toledo. I imagine it will be the same against Sav State, even though his confidence is low. The thing I will be keying in on is which QB plays the best on 3rd down. To me that is where Malik is the weakest. We need someone who doesn't crap his pants on 3rd down. Let's hope Perry shows us and the coaches something on 3rd.

Nothing in the SSU games means much, unless Rosier plays his 40% game and one or more of the young guns lights it up. I’d be surprised if Rosier stinks it up on Saturday.

3rd down? Malware has his flaws but has way too many 3rd-and-long situations. Playcalling and poor play all around contributing to this epidemic of ineptitude.

I'm also excited to see Cade, Perry, and possibly Williams have their shots, but I'm not sure there is going to be a huge sample size. I actually think Malik will start and play the majority of every game including the florida state game. Something about Richt saying we play the person that gives us the best chance to win.... still gnaws at me.. What does that even mean?! Are all our QBs Sub 45% throwers, and unable to make reads against any legitimate competition?

These next few games, I feel like will just be confidence boosting for Malik, to get him on a mental high for ACC play.. He'll be completing passes at like a 60 or 70% clip... Then we'll see how he adjusts when we play NC. I just don't believe Richt will pull the trigger on an actual QB change.

I hope the others do their best, but I can see 1 or even 2 transfers by the end of the year...

The reason Rosier is struggle on 3rd down is he is waiting for players to get open. They are always gonna play zone on 3rd and long and the windows are smaller, u have to throw on time.

After reviewing games more closely, I put even more blame on Rosier than Richt’s playcalling

We had no real backups last year, 2018 is different. If Rosier continually derails the plays that Richt calls, you’d hope he would put Perry or Weldon in to at least see what they can do. If anything g to send a message to Rosier

I feel like Rosier is a millennial that won’t learn a lesson until you smack the **** out of him. To date, Richt has been putting him on time outs.

We were losing to Toledo after the first half. Mostly because of Malik’s inability to move the O.

I just want to read the comments in the game thread the first time Rosier throws an incomplete pass

I have a feeling the booing at the game is gonna be intense. The longer Richt sticks with him, this thing will turn toxic fast. Not a good look as we still need to recruit at a higher level.

We were also 3-9 on 3rd down conversion in that game. Not being over 50% against a team like that is a failure. Like I mentioned, I am keying in on 3rd downs these next two games.

Whichever quarterback plays more third down reps is probably more telling about who isn’t playing as well. Richt isn’t going to switch quarterbacks mid series so if there is a third down it’s because the qb in the game didn’t convert on first or second. He’s def not trotting a new qb out there for every third down we have. Qb that’s in the game will stay in the game.

Exactly my point if he throws up one of those first half performances in one of these next few games you would have to think somebody else will get a look.

This is what scares me as well. Until I actually see it, I don't think there is a real competition going on for the QB position. Richt likes the 5th year senior as his QB. They will all play well against Sav St. which means Malweak keeps his starting job. I pray that I am wrong and NP gets some significant playing time to show if he is the dude or not.

Regarding dual QB's, what leads you to beleive that will happen as a long term solution here? Richt has always been a one QB guy. His last year at Georgia he rotated guys simply because all of them sucked. But his entire head coaching career has been a one QB plays system. By the 4th game of this year we will see Richt stick with one guy.

I don't know, I actually have a bad feeling Rosier is going to struggle early. Unless of course we are able to run all over these guys.

For the billionth time.. WHY SHOULD ROSIER PLAY AN ENTIRE QUARTER TOMORROW? What is the point in wasting reps on him tomorrow? For his confidence? Fck that. If running up the score against Savannah St makes ANY of you change your mind about him, you might as well be gaytor fans. They think they're world beaters for beating charleston southern. Savannah St lost 52-0 to UAB.
This is a game for backups and freshmen. NOT for 5th year senior QBs to work on fine tuning their game.
