Agree. I was thinking more as a third down back.3.9 ypc.
He's not a classic RB. He's a utility knife who used to have good hands. The fumbles are partly on him. But he's being misused which is messing up his game. If he does transfer, I guarantee he'll do much better elsewhere.
Correct. He should've been used on 3rd downs and out of the backfield on swing passes more to spare Parrish. But that's a little too advanced for this regime.
He is **** in space too. He basically needs a wide open field. How much space could a RB possibly need lmaoMisused big time. A good coordinator finds ways to get Rooster out in space where he's at his best. Instead, we try to run him like he's Jerome Bettis.
U watch ur filthy mouthThat’s like assuming you’ll win Powerball
I've been displeased with his performance this year. I don't think he's an every-down back and if he thinks he is one, then he ought to transfer, because guys like Parrish, Chaney and Citizen are likely better equipped to be RB1. That said, he is an example IMO of a guy that has not been utilized correctly by Gattis. On a roster that is devoid of playmakers, getting a guy like him some plays to try to utilize his ability would be nice. Even a **** RB screen once a game would be nice and easy. Ideally, I think he is a guy that gets 5-7 carries a game + 3-5 targets in the passing game.
How in the **** a guy going from being out best back to our worst. **** he carried the team last yr to several wins. Bro he was missed used a a terrible offense of scheme. This falls directly on the coaches.I feel like folks work harder than he does to justify that he's a good RB.
how do you properly utilize a guy who can't hang onto the ball?
"He should get more screens" but he fumbled on a RB screen.
You're going to get hit in this game whether you carry the ball or catch it and all of the athleticism in the world means **** all if you cough it up every time you get hit.
We've had 3rd string safeties at this school who are better at the position.
He may be a great player but not at RB
I can't disagree with what you said. The fumbles are a problem. He needs to correct that and put an emphasis on that element.I feel like folks work harder than he does to justify that he's a good RB.

You go from “our best back to our worst” because this roster sucks. Who was his competition to be “the best RB” last year? Cam Harris? Spare me. (I deadass don’t mean that to be mean to any individual player). But we are just clearly lacking talent. Which is why Parrish can transfer over and immediately be RB1, and look 100x the better player. How in the **** a guy going from being out best back to our worst. **** he carried the team last yr to several wins. My Advice would be:
Go G5 if you want to be an every down RB. Go P5 if you're happy being more a pass catching role player.
Get serious. Work on your game. Try to get closer to 200 lbs. Start trying to make people miss vs stop trying to run through them. Fix the fumbles.
Knighton has more potential than what he's shown & I wish him luck in reaching it - but has to realize how much works needs to be done & what it really is that he needs to work on.
I feel like folks work harder than he does to justify that he's a good RB.

This makes no sense. He’s fumbled on screen passes, runs up the middle and runs to the outside. How else should we use him, at DB?Misused big time. A good coordinator finds ways to get Rooster out in space where he's at his best. Instead, we try to run him like he's Jerome Bettis.
