Rooster Byke!!

Our running "attack" will consist of Cam Harris running head first into stacked fronts for gains that average about 1.7 yards. Rooster will be back to use his speed, elusiveness, pass catching prowess and game breaking ability in space to get 5 carries that will consist of forcing the inside zone against tite fronts expecting the inside zone. This will result in 1 of his 5 carries going for 20 yards because Knighton bounced it outside with the rest being stuffed at the LOS. We wont see Brown or Franklin because we will be down 31-17 midway through the 4th quarter which is when Lashlee will finally realize that the running game isn't going to work and he decides that it's time to open up the offense.

After the game Diaz will say that the film study suggested that we would have success running the football against Virginia but they came out in fronts and alignments that they had never shown before. He will then go on to say what a great underrated defense Virginia has. That Virginia defense will then go on to be thoroughly sodomized by Louisville and Duke the next 2 weeks for a combined 1200 yards of total offense and over 100 points. That is all.

BRUH HOW WE FIX THIS **** IN YO OPINION?
I have always said we havent recruited great elite player by the bulk......until that changes we wont win. We have always been at our best when we recruited the best. We never won with a genius as HC ever, when we were our best its cause we had the best. These websites and fans over hype some of our guys and they are bad evaluattions as prospects.

Oh, I agree with you completely on that. Let's forget about Duke for a moment though. Let's go Dj Dallas and Mark Walton. The vision, balance, and change of speed, and patience they possessed was remarkable. They knew how to set up their blocks which is something I think our guys are lacking. I do believe Rooster will ball tomorrow if given a hole to run through. If King doesn't play, you will see a more varied running game than if King were starting which I think bodes well for the RBs.

People were throwing out threw out Dalvin Cook comparisons for Knighton last year and Willis McGahee comparisons for Chaney. Both were way over the top. Now dial it back a step - the Knighton/Duke Johnson, and Chaney/Lamar Miller comps are too much as well.

I'd say if Knighton can be a little shiftier Travis Homer and Chaney could be a little faster Deejay Dallas - that's a good way to think of their ceiling. I hope they get there, but they're behind where Homer/Deejay were at this point (still very early though). Walton is on the same level as Cam is now - just ok, but a level below Homer/DJ. If they end up just being Cam/Walton - that's gonna be frustrating.

Isn't this true for every winning program? Who consistently won at a high level with lesser players than their opponents?

Haven't seen it in 20 years. I have seen NFL rosters win titles....and the draft says so. See the problem is people think wins get kids drafted high...no kids get kids drafted high. The NFL see the high value talent and takes those players off the boards early yearly.

Harris averages 5.2 yards a carry for his career. Also our best past protector, he is not a problem no matter how much everyone wants the new shining toys to get playing time.
Whaaaaaaaat? Our OL is trash but Harris is a one cut runner and his breaks are bad af. He can't get things done on his own he's a basic RB. He's real bad and I bet his numbers against good teams is horrific. If u have better options on the bench play them even if u don't think they are better try them out. Harris isn't doing anything and if they other guys can't block still get that coaching right.

No idea what this means.

Man, I’m so juiced to see the leading rusher in the history of Broward County back in uniform, fresh as a daisy and with a chip on his shoulder.

I think he can give this offense some much needed juice. We know we’re not blowing huge holes open up front, we need somebody who can make the first guy miss. I think this kid can be a major weapon the rest of the season in this offense both on the ground and in the short passing game. I hope Lashlee unleashes him. He’s served his time, let him cook. I’d love to see 12+ touches for him Thursday night.

Any comp to Duke Johnson?

People were excited about the Knighton / Chaney combo (myself included) but I dont recall any over top proclamations that we had not only Dalvin Cook but also Willis McGahee on our roster. Maybe I missed it

Any comp to Duke Johnson?

Yeah, they both play Running Back for the University of Miami.

Just breaking balls....no, he's not Duke. Not many are. But he's a VERY capable back and should really help the offense. I actually compare him more to Graig Cooper.

Trench bullies. Dominate the LOS on both sides. It makes coming to Miami an appealing option for legit blue chips at the skill positions because they know they'll be able to showcase their skillsets. Cam may not be an all-time great but he's not a bum either, there's use for a one-cut-n-go back behind an OL who can maul a front 7. Don, Rooster, Brown, Thad, they'd all benefit behind a line of dudes who's ****s drag on the floor behind them, figuratively speaking.

Look what Manny's D was a capable of with Norton, Willis etc vs. what we have now. I don't even like his scheme but with a disruptive front it can do what its supposed to do, which is cause chaos and produce turnovers.

And I'm not saying it has to be one or the other, recruit the best players at every position every year. But we need some ****** dude's up front.

2 whole posts before the tears started. Y’all are getting better by the day.

Hope you’re wrong though and we see some rational coaching. He had 63 touches in 9 games last year as a true freshman. Don is out. It’s time to let the Rooster cluck on these fools.

hope he gets the ball out in space, in the flats, down the seams. I felt we wasted last year on too many inside-read runs. That's simply not his game

So part of me wants to say f*** you but 98.9% of me knows you’re right 😂😂😂😂
