Im already prepared for the "We have to bring Jaylon in slowly. Hes missed alot of time. Gotta give him a chance to get his feet under him but he will get there but its a process for him to get back to live football". This is after hes asked why Jaylon only got 2 carries and didnt play much. All I know is for his sake that quote better been after a win against UVA and not a loss.

LOL god I hope not, man. But yeah, if we lose, and struggle on offense, and he doesn't play, I'm going to go berserk.

If they ease him in and we put up 500 yards and score 40 points, I can live with it. But nobody "got their feet under them" in Week 1. You train, then you play. No reason to ease him into a **** thing. I don't expect him to get 20 carries, obviously Cam is going to play, as sad as that is. And I'm not sure how much they trust Brown to pass block, but he probably gets into the mix a little bit. But this kid is a Top 100 recruit who hasn't been touched for the first month of the season, he should be fresh as **** and ready to go. Let him cook.

Man, I’m so juiced to see the leading rusher in the history of Broward County back in uniform, fresh as a daisy and with a chip on his shoulder.

I think he can give this offense some much needed juice. We know we’re not blowing huge holes open up front, we need somebody who can make the first guy miss. I think this kid can be a major weapon the rest of the season in this offense both on the ground and in the short passing game. I hope Lashlee unleashes him. He’s served his time, let him cook. I’d love to see 12+ touches for him Thursday night.

If so, we need to run more off tackle outside toss and outside zone. He's too small to run inside zone, with the lack of push our line gets. Even with our bigger backs, lashlee needs to mix it up so LB's and the D line and safeties cant pack the box or pack between the hashes.

Boy that Garnett and gold do look nice for once

I'd actually like to see him get 5 or so targets. Our backs have caught 12 passes in 4 games. That's absurd with how poorly we've run the ball (105th in YPC, 102nd in YPG, 41st in 10+ yard runs, 92nd in 20+ yard runs, 99th in 30+ yard runs, our starting back is averaging 4.2 YPC). I wouldn't mind seeing us in 20 with both him and Cam on the field, or 21 with him flexing out into the slot when the defense counters heavy. Get this kid matched up on linebackers. UVA has already given up 11 plays of 30 yards or more. Only 4 teams in the country that have played 3 FBS games have given up more. We need big plays tomorrow. Rooster is a kid who can help with that, but not running him into the A-gaps.

Our running "attack" will consist of Cam Harris running head first into stacked fronts for gains that average about 1.7 yards. Rooster will be back to use his speed, elusiveness, pass catching prowess and game breaking ability in space to get 5 carries that will consist of forcing the inside zone against tite fronts expecting the inside zone. This will result in 1 of his 5 carries going for 20 yards because Knighton bounced it outside with the rest being stuffed at the LOS. We wont see Brown or Franklin because we will be down 31-17 midway through the 4th quarter which is when Lashlee will finally realize that the running game isn't going to work and he decides that it's time to open up the offense.

After the game Diaz will say that the film study suggested that we would have success running the football against Virginia but they came out in fronts and alignments that they had never shown before. He will then go on to say what a great underrated defense Virginia has. That Virginia defense will then go on to be thoroughly sodomized by Louisville and Duke the next 2 weeks for a combined 1200 yards of total offense and over 100 points. That is all.

Rooster hasn't really showed me a lot of shiftiness. He's not a straight line runner but he's not duke johnson either.

One of my favorite players on the team to watch. Truly electric. Would love to see him immediately step into 10-15 snaps at RB and KR.

Duke Johnson was a consensus 5-star player and our career rushing leader. I don't think anybody expects Duke Johnson. I expect better than Cam Harris, and I think Rooster can provide that. IMO he can and should be better than anything else we have, so when you can inject an improvement into your lineup who has yet to pay a snap, I think it's a good thing.

So did anyone confirm if he was completely away from the team or if the suspension just meant he couldn't play in games?

I was under the impression that he's been practicing the entire time. Makes no sense to banish him from the entire facility. That's a dismissal, not a suspension.

Oh, I agree with you completely on that. Let's forget about Duke for a moment though. Let's go Dj Dallas and Mark Walton. The vision, balance, and change of speed, and patience they possessed was remarkable. They knew how to set up their blocks which is something I think our guys are lacking. I do believe Rooster will ball tomorrow if given a hole to run through. If King doesn't play, you will see a more varied running game than if King were starting which I think bodes well for the RBs.

None of the ones who have a clue, although I could count how many do on probably 2 hands.

Cam is who he is. We've beaten that horse into the ground. There's been dozens of threads and hundreds of posts. He's not useless, but he's not going to give you much more than what you give him. Rooster is different. He can make the first man miss, which is what you need to be able to do as a back. I hope he's been working his *** off, IMO the main thing missing last year was just that strength that comes as you get later into your career. He was able to run through some tackles at the HS level, in addition to that elite speed. I didn't see a ton of that last year. If he has put on a few pounds of muscle, he can be the back we need. All-time leader in rushing in Broward County is nothing to sneeze at. You don't get to hang that banner by accident.
Totally agree on Cam. He can hit big runs with his speed if the hole is obvious, but creating for himself is an issue.

I agree Knighton has more potential/higher ceiling than Cam - but I still need to actually see it from him. He has elusiveness, I just didn't see it much last year or in the Spring game. There's a confusing amount of times he had 5 yds between him and the defender and he just ran straight into him. That and he misjudged angles.

I think it's more an experience/confidence/physical maturity thing with Knighton. Running through LB's at 190 lbs might have worked in HS, but it won't work in college. Gotta be more shifty and set up those LB's with moves. And some angles/holes that worked in HS looked like they closed faster than he's used to last year. He's definitely got the speed, so if he can make those adjustments he's gonna be a good one.
