Burns has a family to take care of now, the others are going to be late round picks at best, feel like they should stay.

Jerome Washington should get a look on defense.

I asked a coach about that before the season, because I thought the same thing. They say he doesn't have the instincts for it. Who knows. I compared him to Richard Gordon, so maybe it's a similar situation.

If Washington can block I'd rather leave him at TE. If Richard Gordon is his ceiling then he can carve out a niche as a TE2.

Hopefully a new coach can get him in the right spot to make an impact whether defense or offense.

That makes me feel better, because I don't trust their opinion on what DL should be doing, necessarily. Their seeming idea of "instincts" includes a very cerebral aspect to the DL position. We'll see what happens.

Our offense is setup perfectly for a pro style smash mouth next year. Our TE's are solid and the line will be back. Play action smash mouth.

Why would Coley, Grace, or AQM declare?

Grace is the best player, but he's an extremely undersized LB. He needs to come back because he needs to gain about 10 pounds of solid weight to play in the league.

Coley is not nearly physical enough to declare.

And AQM hasn't done enough. And he's a RS-Soph, so he could still leave early, next year.

Those guys would be making terrible decisions to leave school early, after this season.

Burns might be able to make the jump ... But even he will be a late rounds pick. Why leave early, when he can come back next season and be an all-american?

Guys leaving early, when they haven't accomplished anything, is a symptom of being entitled.

The guys who left early last year were high draft picks ... Unless you're a running back, there is no reason to declare early if you aren't going in rounds 1-3, IMO.

Artie could leave now and go top 3 rounds for sure.

He's going to test well at the combine and he's been a very good player for us.

Would be great to have him another season though
