Ronald Delancey got his offer

Yep; remember both ya’ll talking bout this young pup. This staph has zero sense of direction. Zero

"sense of direction" is well put...Their offers and fake offers are based on indecision, attempting to be slick, and the occasional panic. I'm not sure if Hodges for instance was "forced out", but if he was someone explain that to me? You made your decision on a local kid Rumph, he had great 7 on 7 moments this summer, and is playing well for a good defense his senior season, you change your mind on him insta? Why take him?

I could see waiting on Delancey. But why wasn't he offered in mid-october or even 10/4 after a great game against Central? When we first started "expanding the board" (Does Rumph even know how to expand a board? Does Rumph have a board?)...When we first started talking Devante Brown, and Jalen Harrell, and others back in the mix. Should have been Delancey in that group as well.

Who cares? Sure it’s late, but he still has the opportunity to stay home and play for the hometown team in front of family.

people crying over late offer need to just log off. Are the coaches not allowed to evaluate a player during his senior year?

Mack Brown burned down Texas by taking kids too early and not evaluating senior Film. High risk, high reward when offering early and taking commits. I have no problem with a coach waiting if he truly wasn’t sure.

Lets look at it this way. If you woke up on signing day and we had this kid committed and heard we picked him over Hodges, would you be happy? Then answer it seems to everyone is yes, so why are people crying? Who cares how we got here. Just close the deal on the better players.

Other schools do the same thing. Saban offered Josh Jacobs a 3 star a week before NSD. It happens. I get that this kid is local but there are a million kids playing ball all over the country. Things like this will happen. Just get the best kids signed at the end of the day.

It's not just late...It's the fact that we are missing early and late. And the general overall clusters**k that is the db board. Every...Single...God...****...November and December.

LCE or gogeta, I don't feel like reading every article in every corner of the net...

Is Delancey EE?

look at the end result. We currently have 5 CB on the roster that were all 4 stars and 3 were high school All-Americans. Yes the numbers are light and yes Rumph has missed some top dogs, but he he not our biggest problem.

nope didn’t miss the point. You all aren’t proving any point besides crying. Rumph took Hodges off projections and them dropped him when he didn’t develope senior year as he wanted. Rumph saw this kid develope and grow his senior year and offered him. It happens to all teams across the country outside of the top 5 who buy the top guys year in and year out.

Don't care about those little star rankings...Secondary not where it needs to be, especially after Bolden went down.

"took off projections"???

What does that even mean?

Rumph second guesses himself even...Plain and simple. And it's a bad look.

Couldn't be the furthest from the truth.

He's literally one of the leaders of the team & is one of the most well liked players in South Fla across the board. He's highly respected amongst his teammates & is nowhere close to being a diva.

He's just a kid with a chip on his shoulder & speaking on how he feels overlooked as a recruit. Don't get caught up in your strict star requirements for recruits & misinterpret what he's saying.

He's not that kinda kid at all, he's one of the Defensive catalyst for the best Defense in South Fla.
Like Jaquan Johnson, we need at least one every year!

Why wouldn't there be if he wanted to be a hurricane?
When your slow played like that things change...I used to be a big homer and think like this but u have to hear all year from your HS teammates how UM sucks and they played u. That can make any 17 year old change there mind and realize hey if I go there they don't know wtf they are doing. I balled for years and now they offer me? **** them

That's how u have to think

Most seem to have an issue with recruiting because it's disjointed.

Lots of offers/commits early on. Some kids leave because they seek the SEC bagman. Others leave because we force them out.....so the overall decommit numbers look horrible. Not offering some kids because of physical criteria but taking others with questionable physical criteria.....then changing those criteria in 6 months.

Our coaches need to figure out what they want/need and stop jumping around like they're clueless. It's bad optics. Stop accepting early commits from fringe players, just as much as you need to stop putting all your eggs in the 5star diva basket. Make a board, spend time to really evaluate kids (not just rankings and input from the staff guys who find tape - truly evaluate kids on tape, practice, games, camps, etc), create your tiers and then STICK TO IT. Show some **** conviction in what you do and use the push out, late offers as the exception and not the rule.

Getting a lot of commits 2 years out may look like momentum but that always fades and kids jump - so why do it? Only do it for the local elite and kids who will be ambassadors.....Deejay, Duke, etc. Build a program on elite physical skills, leadership, instincts and attitude. If you do it the right way, the program and players within will lead itself.

Saban can offer late they are a dominant program kids grew up dreaming to play for

thats fair. Not saying Miami should be doing it, just pointing out it happens all over the country every single year. We just harp on Miami cause we all follow it more than other schools.
