His trajectory is 📈 he improved a lot over his HS career. He was a finesse beanpole early on but by his Senior year he was wiry strong and physical after the catch. He's no Wiggins I'll tell you that much. He's tough and he can run routes.

My only question is how fast he can get.

I don‘t know Brinson’s 40 time, but they say Jerry Rice was a 4.71 40 yard dash and I thought he was one of the fastest WRs with pads on to ever play the game—aka “game speed”. All I know is that I saw Brinson play live at Northwestern/Traz Powell stadium, and he had an uncommon knack of consistently beating D1 CBS, getting wide open and making VERY BIG game-changing plays. Like Michael Irvin said, big time players make big time plays in big games! If Brinson brings that skill to the Canes, he will eventually put up some big numbers in his career

I have to think teams look more at your top speed during the 40 than your actual 40 time. I guess Jerry Rice took longer than most WR to get to top speed, but once he got there, there were few that were faster from that point forward.

That wasn't Irvin who said that...it was Marley in 94...then Santana 6yrs later....

Mello is my favorite recruit in this past class. People forget he was the first big Dade domino to come back into the fold during the summer stretch when it all went down, when we were still reeling a bit, and he totally committed with full Miami swag, with a 200 person block party and a live IG that showed ANOTHER video on a video truck in the hood that played his edited commitment video where his eyes turned into laser beams and he cursed. While everyone he knows and doesn't know went ape**** on his front lawn or something. Full Miami. No blockie.

That was a pivotal moment for the program, IMO that we will look back on. It was like he made it cool to be a Cane again in Dade. One of the core 5 blessed the program. Kitchens, Taylor, Smith and Williams came aboard soon after him.

Actually, it originated long before that. It’s biblical, in the Old Testament to be exact. I know, I used to hang with some Old Testament prophets, who broadened into sports, elections, stock market, etc., when Biblical work got scarce.
