He's NOT touting moral victories.Moral victories guys. We lost most of our games by less than 7 points!!!

I'd say some of the kicking problems stemmed from Diaz playing mind games with kickers. I get it, Baxa was in a funk. He was also 7-10 his freshman year, and could hit from 50 out. You try to get his mind right, because he has the most talent of any kicker on the roster. Also, when is someone going to teach Manny that it's a good idea to center the ball for your kickers if you know you're going to settle for a FG attempt? ESPECIALLY knowing your kickers are struggling.
As shaky as Baxa was, if he kicks all three FGs against GT, he makes one. By the way, who is our special teams coach? If he can't help our kicker get straight, maybe he shouldn't be a special teams coach. There's not much more important on special teams than making a FG. Our fix for missed FGs? Keep benching kickers instead of getting their heads right. I might be wrong, but I don't think that's the best idea.
Not sure how, when Manny has all the power when it comes to the program. Ed can suggest things, that's all. He is not operating from a position of any real authority.Reed will add value, for sure.
Glad that he's back to help the team out.
I think we'll definitely see some attrition from a few chaps who won't want to buy in to the culture that Manny will (hopefully) be trying to instill now.
Ended up being for the best IMO. Lets say we have a FG kicker that makes a couple more and we win 8 games. Would have been a 1 game improvement over Richts last season. Blake James would be crowing about the teams upward trajectory. You think Diaz makes wholesale changes after an 8 win season? We go into 2020 with JW as QB and Enos as OC.
I think its inarguable that Miami is much better off with King at QB and Lashlee at OC. It would not have happened if 2019 went any other way. Miami's chances of winning 10 games and the ACC coastal in 2020 are significantly better now than before.
Been patient for 15 some odd years.. I want results now!!!!See guys we just need to be patient![]()
The browns just hired Blake James doppelganger as a COSAnyway, I can't believe that some people seriously think Reed will have any real power in this role.
It's basically a made up position that I've never heard of any other CFB team even having.
FIU beat usUnlike all of the trolls here who want IMMEDIATE results and if not fire the entire staff. Trolls here forget we lost most of our games by less than 7 points and 3 of those was because we could not make a 20 yeard field goal. When you add in the last place Enos Offense and horrible QB play always putting the Defense in bad possisions, 10 wins is very different from 6 wins. Enos is gone, we now have a Heisman level QB with a coordinator that can put some points on the board. What would have happened if last year we scored 35 plus points a game, with minimal turnovers, poor field position, Borregales field goals from 40 plus? We would win every game except for Clemson. Wake up you FSU and FL loving Trolls.
Worst take ever. My anal glands are leaking after reading this drivel.Unlike all of the trolls here who want IMMEDIATE results and if not fire the entire staff. If we had made those 5 chip shot FGs we missed, then we would have beaten mighty La Tech.Remind me again what the final La. Tech score was.

We flat out sucked last year. You can also add that we almost lost to CMU. Fact is, none of the games we lost because we missed a kick or three were games that should have come down to a kick. Say we win 9 games last year because we made FGs. We'd STILL lose to FIU, LaTech, and Duke. WL record doesn't tell the whole story. How you win and lose tells a lot. We lost to bad to below average teams.
Has it been discussed where Reed can go as COS. Does he have less, more or same limits than coaches? For instance is he limited with off season workouts time wise? Anyone know? Just curious.
If a kicker gets the yips like Bustxa did you’re not gonna fix it by patting him on the head and giving him a warm glass of milk and reading him Cat in the Hat.I'd say some of the kicking problems stemmed from Diaz playing mind games with kickers. What's with how everybody considers 10 wins to now be a big success?
9-3 seasons used to be considered bad seasons. A justification for firing 4 or 5 assistants. 10-3 is basically what 9-3 used to be, except with a win over FAMU or Bethune (or now Wagner I guess) added in.
Losing ineptly is for the best? That’s absurd, imo. If the problem was Diaz, the solution is no more Diaz. Bolstering a failure may help, but it sure won’t change him into a real coach.Ended up being for the best IMO. Lets say we have a FG kicker that makes a couple more and we win 8 games. 10 regular season wins should be the baseline. More is great and less is a failure. What's with how everybody considers 10 wins to now be a big success?
