This clip showed me what I saw live at the game , there was a lot plays that were covered like a blanket , UF was sitting on routes. We now have a guy that can make up for losses drawn up by the OC. Guys like this are the human eraser. You make a bad call he’ll fix it. Same thing when an assignment is blown or a wrong route.

Also last year I was screaming for our rb’s to leak out after selling max protect , we finally did it. We ran it to nauseam in 23 and that adjustment never came.

The communication between the QB and WRs was absurd

The transition from the playcall to the playground was seamless when these routes would break down

if’d like to know how many of our big plays were drawn up versus the scramble drill. The same plays with TVD would’ve been sacks or throw away. Ward like Travis at FSU made the play caller look great. That’s a true game changer and why a qb like this can change your fate as a program. Nothing against Dawson because he had a nice game plan but if the qb is different he’d be judged a tad different.

As good as he was week 1 he’s going to go into the film room and see some missed opportunities and close to 100 yards left on the field.

Those are the best games. Win convincingly and still have coaching/improvement opportunities.

Restrepo calling out the Cat Blitz to Ward then Ward giving him the thumbs up was just too cool for school! The CB gets called out with the QB acknowledging right in front of him. So the CB blitzed anyway and Cam just adjusted his arm angle to throw it right by him! Hilarious! Just epic!

Plus, regardless of the beatdown we put on them, Florida has a very competent defense. However it's like you said, there is no defense for a QB who can do the things that Cam Ward can do.

This is why I don’t understand why we haven’t strictly started recruiting mobile qbs pocket qbs limit your success

Honestly I wanted to put together a breakdown of Restrepos game but I can’t really get a consistent good view of the field. A lot of the disgusting things he did in this game is just off camera

What I will say is that…I’m not sure Florida played all that bad on defense

There’s gotta be some real “wtf am I supposed to do?” moments when the DC is watching the film

The OL gave us the time and the preparedness of Cam and his WRs are so scary good, some of these plays there’s literally nothing you could have done to stop them

It will never happen but X should be getting Heisman votes

Agreed on both points of X deserving Heisman votes and Florida being good on defense despite the beatdown. I addressed the Florida defense in another thread.

I understand our fans that are so traumatized by the past that they are afraid to be excited

But this game on rewatches isn’t like busted coverages and our guys just running free because the talent disparity

We are gonna really hurt some people on offense this year if we play like we did Saturday
 
I'm surprised more kids aren't copying this style now. Ward might not be Mahomes, but he is looking a lot like him with those arm angles and improvisation. Having no OL at Washington State forced him to learn all kinds of ways to get rid of the ball and escape the rush.

That was the right call to make 100 times out of 100 but they let George go completely uncovered right up the middle of the field.
 
Gotta give him credit for the time and effort but I can’t stand to listen to him talk. He over exaggerates his knowledge and comes off as Mr cool guy.

I said during the game in the first that the WRs were not winning and they would need to step up and they did just that.
