Rolling Stone Article on SEC and ESPN

Excellent article. The "mainstream" media is sooooooo late to this party but I guess better now than never.

i still think Miami, Va Tech, FSU, and Clemson should pack up and head to the Big 12. maybe Louisville. **** the ACC

Big business interest are always protected by members of the organization for reasons of self preservation. People like the Krotch (koch) Bros have changed college curriculum from exploratory and challenging to a corporate monkey theology. Anybody that can see the ESPN slant lacks general comprehension capabilities.

Great article, and laughable that ESPN doesn't even try to at least "fake" being impartial... they're talking about 3 sec teams, as if it's a given that there will be 2..

Negged for repeating partisan nonsense on a football board.

"For example, two different broadcasters on the network, analyst Brock Huard and anchor Cassidy Hubbarth, proclaimed that Florida State – one of only two teams in this week's AP top five not in the SEC – "barely escaped," "struggled" and took Wake Forest "down to the wire" in a game it won 43-3."

This made me LULZ

Example of getting the ESPN TV contract vs. not getting it:

SEC got it. The league's coverage explodes.

NHL lost it. The league becomes barely news worthy on sportscenter

the sooner people realize that ESPN is not a legit news network, the happier people will be with their lives

It's beyond amusing how defensive EsecPN gets about this too. From Van Pelt devoting almost his entire show to it yesterday to Fowler having a cute little meltdown on Gameday to "insert any host here" having a seizure when Kanell (amazingly for a FSU grad) spews fact and logic....

Truth cuts a little too close for these frauds. Their instant default is always a mocking of their supposed hidden agenda based in monetary interests too. While that shouldn't be immediately dismissed, it's even more damning that a large portion of their bias is actually just based in lazy groupthink that also permeates the idiots that vote in the AP poll. The few people that don't have SEC ties in college football journalism and commentating are just too lazy to think for themselves and slop up the narrative being erroneously disseminated by those with actual agendas. Sure, anyone that isn't paying close attention is of course going to believe the SEC propaganda. The only difference is that these guys end up advancing it even more themselves by buying in and not doing their jobs.

I try not to watch Everything SEC Propaganda Network as much as possible. No longer watch GameDay. Only watch our games.

Is this the same publication that tried to make a rock star out of a terrorist?

ummmmmmm....no thanks.
