Several porsters think absolutely nothing wrong with a huge turnover rate in corches from Y1 to Y2. In fact, it is how well designed organizations and hiring processes actually work! You need to get yourself educated.

I mean, it isn't like it was advertised our Canes finally had an all-star big boy staff.

I think you need to get a grip.
 
For as highly touted as the staff was, I didn't hear a whole lot from the players about the individual coaches recruiting them, except DVD. Seems like it was a bad mix of coaches who didn't get along and didn't recruit as Cristobal expected.

Agreed!

If Francis went elsewhere, Joe's supporters would want him gone as well. He's a liability if he isn't going to pull in the best players, not one player, regardless of heritage.

Anyone who thought 10 wins with that WR & OL group was delusional… but your point is valid that some of the losses fall directly on coaches/scheme.

I don't think think this is what you're alluding to but my Steelers are awfully thin in staff overall and especially on the defensive side of the ball. I think we've had 3 coaches on D leave and have only replaced them so far with Aaron Curry.

I'd obviously prefer JT in a bigger role with the Canes as I think it'd be much more of an impact for us but working for Tomlin and going "home" might be alluring to JT IF that opportunity ever arose and coaching is what he what he really wants to go all-in on.
 
IDK, maybe it’s me. I just don’t get the “Coach Joe” hate. Mario brought him to Miami; he’s worked with him for years. He clearly knows his strengths and shortcomings and valued him enough to bring him along. It’s pretty clear recruiting isn’t cut and dry by position. I personally don’t care who recruits the D-line guys. If keeping Joe helps keep Miami in the conversation with west coast/Poly kids, great! Let someone else close them

Ralph Street is a name to know if Jason decides to leave.

He was Guidry’s DL Coach at Marshall for the last 2 years & also coached Terry Jefferson at FAMU his Junior & Senior year.

Has good experience as both a LB’s & DL’s coach, as well as being a D Coordinator at both FAMU & PVAM.

Saban has had more turnover at coordinator and position coaches than anyone in here can remember.
But they land elite recruits by the plethora. The only position coach at Bama most people on here can name without google is trob.
