What matters is that he plays fast. Numbers don't mean sh*t to be honest...

what about the defensive tackles......also if you print them then scan them they can be sent to people's personal emails.

Did you forget we have swasey? Herb waters ran a 4.7 40 in high school now he runs a 4.38-4.44 40. That time will definitely drop with proper training

That is true, Ill give u that...I was wrong on Waters speed( although it still hasnt really shown up in games) . However I think that is the outlier not the norm.. Like I said numerous coaches have told me he is not Miami caliber..... I think he should have went to FIU..Just dont think he will play here

Kid has to get faster... Burns, Coley and Bush numbers are Miami numbers... So are the backers... That's a good sign... The speed needs to continue to increase... Our young secondary are slow but hopefully the continue to improve... Redwine should not play corner...

I still don't see the speed with Herbs but if he's timing it that's good... To me he plays like a 4.6 wideout... Not a 4.3...

Then why does the NFL have players run 40's and shuttles at the combine?

I'd rather have a player who plays fast than have one who is said to be fast because of a 40 and doesn't show it on the field

A few things...
1. Some of the forty numbers that were on the internet, like Waters' time, were taken at a camp where the grass was muddy and everybody ran slow. My boy Dowels is listed at 4.72 on recruiting sites. He ran a laser 4.47 the day he stepped on Syracuse's campus. Nobody goes from a 4.7 to a 4.4 forty. If you see a gap like that between times then something is up. Waters was never a 4.7 kid.
2. Our times suck. You have to keep in mind that Miami uses hand-timing. (pathetic) So basically those CB's that run 4.6's (which is already slow for a CB) are actually 4.7 type athletes. Fast kids don't go to college and run 4.6's, especially on a stopwatch. We don't have a single blazer in the defensive backfield, which is pathetic for a Miami team. We should have multiple kids in the 4.4's.
3. Knowle's tape looks pretty good. Certain doesn't look like a 4.8 kid on tape.

Actually Miami's times in most cases tend to be pretty accurate. Duke Johnson being one of the outliers ran slower than what he actually runs at the combine because of a hamstring injury he was dealing with at the time during testing

I don tknow man Those big corners 6'1 195 pounds running a 4.6 aint bad..But like u said i find it hard to believe redwine runs a 4.6......
