Could Robby Washington have a similar impact as Phillip Dorsett playing outside receiver for this team?

Player comparison:

Phillip Dorsett 5-10 170 as a high school SR

Robby Washington 5-10 186 as a high school SR

They both played outside receiver in high school, both have speed to take the top off a defense, I wil say Dorsett was faster but Robby is a lot more athletic. They both can go up and catch contested passes.

Robby has more dog in him and plays with more edge.

With Robby being a EE, I can really see him making an impact early and eventually becoming an elite outside receiver for this team, if put in position to do so.

Think it depends on our next OC. I know this year all we heard was how redding was the main wr that new the play book and could trust to be in the right spot. Combined that with Robby not being known for running routes and more of a get the ball to him quick type of player might be an adjustment period.

Someone will step up and rise to the occasion and Robby isn’t as fast like you said but dude has grit and a competitive edge that Dorsett never truly had here

Poor comparison imo
Dorsett has no wiggle and is straight line was. One trick pony type. But his 4.3 speed makes him dangerous. This Washington kid is a completely different type of player. Slot guy, quick and electric. Give him the ball in space and enjoy the show

That is one of my biggest questions for 2023.

Can Robby help us as a Z/flanker?

We have a ton of options at slot and Colbie has some skills. A deep threat at flanker opens things up.

He's not as fast but has more explosiveness which is more important. Kid is a baller. We still need a first round type at the x spot or a AA type. A big body fast strong wr that can so it all. Didn't get that this cycle the going to have to wait till next

Man. You are right. The problem is you literally said the same thing last year about 2023 being stacked.

What makes you think someone will step up and rise to the occasion? What does that really mean?

You can’t just say Robby is more athletic. What does that even mean?

But god I hope so. I hope he and Joseph are ready to go from the jump
