Rob Likens on Joe Rose this morning

So Keyshawn Smith can't spell the word cat....well that's great. That's just great. Where the **** are we now huh?!

Heard some really inspiring, motivating interviews from the new coaching staff. But there had to be at least 1, “ um, like, ya know ... ******...”

Some good takeaways for Bama:
- Harley: locked and loaded as a starter
- Rambo: locked and loaded as a starter
- Smith: getting better but needs to master mental part of game and diagnosing where to be based on certain coverages.
- Pope/Wiggins: all mental. need to learn to handle adversity.
- Rest of the freshman/sophs: taking it day by day. understanding what is necessary to play.

Likens always brings the juice and energy! Love his attitude.

Almost like people feed on s*** and talking it. Instead of going out the right way it comes back up

How about this and I know it wont happen but how about hoping Likens can help Pope and Wiggins and develop them instead of sh*tting on 2 kids who chose to play for us.... how many threads and pages did we have about Pope when recruiting him. Now because he hasnt lived up to expectations our fanbase does what to the hometown kid.... " sh*ts on him"

I mean this goes a long way in being able to recruit stud WR’S... if you have a coach that can develop and fix any of the flaws in your game. You want to see both of them have a great year, you want to see them get better.

how about not hoping? you think Saban hopes? Pope I dont mind because he tries and cares, dee has horrible body language. The fact of the matter is they are seniors and it's not clicking, they need to move on.

Ok dont hope thats fine... but theyre gonna see the field whether people like it or not. Nothing we as fans can do about that except "hope "

Likens wants a 6 man rotation.

Rambo, Harley and Smith will likely start.

Restrepo is making a big move for playing time

Mike Redding has been showing them glimpses of that big body possession guy they desperately need.

The sixth guy is probably going to be Pope. I think they're going to try to use him in the slot a bit where he can't get mugged by physical corners.

The freshmen might get a little burn but I don't think Brinson and George are quite there physically yet and there's a logjam at the slot position ahead of Brashard Smith. Although all those guys can play and will push for rotational snaps.

6 and 8 lost the bowl game theres no way around it or to dress it up, we were making an all out assault on OSU and those guys single handedly put a bullet in the momentum
I can’t think of 11 players on the other side of the field that deserve blame for that horse **** game.

I love comparing & contrasting the mental toughness of a guy like Zion vs 6 & 8. During and after 2019 Zion was roasted viciously by this fanbase all over social media, fast forward to now both 6 & 8 have been similarly criticized. How did Zion respond ? He kept his head down, obviously worked his *** off and made a quantum leap in year two. 6 & 8 both been here longer and we've heard they struggle with their confidence and blocking out the noise on social media. This all goes to show how underrated a quality mental toughness really is, Zion has it, the other two, not so much.
