I can't wait to yearby is 100% healthy. The kid runs tougher than his 190 pound frame.... He is much bigger than duke was coming into college...

He's not 190, and he's not "much bigger" than Duke was. But he is an awesome RB. He's definitely a more skilled and pure RB than Cook. Cook is the electric homerun hitter. Great complements to each other.

What do homerun hitters do on 3rd and 1? I love them like everyone else, but yearby looks like a chain mover

Where is his SR film? Only film online is just his jr film

You need to go to the 2nd page of videos, assume you can find since you located the jr year on the first page. Enjoy.

yeah I looked that is the JR film, but I could be wrong

I may be wrong as seeing class of 2014 led me to believe his senior year pre-injury, he was number 22 then and became number 3, my bad, enjoy kid is a player.

That's why I said they're great complements to each other. I'm not big on homerun hitters on third and one because they're prone to getting stuffed looking for the homerun. Homerun hitters are more likely to strike out than doubles hitters in between their homeruns.

Finally, a solid thread on Yearby. The youngster is going to be a real game breaker for us and a great complement to Duke in the backfield. Delighted to have him in the Cane family.

Pictures are deceptive. Plenty of skinny dudes look big in pictures because of definition. Joe is a small dude.

"Yearby is a solid 5'9" and 190 pounds, showing a compact build with good thickness. He is not a little running back, so do not be fooled by his height. He has excellent definition and tone in his body, as he shows the potential to be in the 205- to 210-pound range in college."

RB: Joseph Yearby, 5-9, 190, Central (Miami)
Breakdown: Sunday was this Miami commit and two-time all-state selection’s first workout since the end of Central’s 6A state title season in December but he knocked off the rust quickly and displayed the lightning quick feet and cutting ability that have led him to be listed amongst the nation’s best at the position. Reminded coaches of Duke Johnson in the sideline tackling drills, leaving LBs grasping for air on multiple occasions. Earned RB MVP for a second straight year and a trip to The Opening post-camp.

Yep. And Duke was 190 too according to all the gurus. In actuality, he was about 175.

But he isn't Duke. Outside of size they are not that similar. Yearby is what we are looking for in terms of being a excellent in between the tackles type runner. Duke is lightning in a bottle, his 20-30 yard burst is elite and his long range speed is above average. Yearby has great burst the first five yards but after that he is average, he relays on his vision and balance more so than Duke.

Now in terms of size, all I will go by is what they measured in at the camps this summer and Yearby I believe weighed in at around 176. Don't believe what they have them listed on their profiles, it's rarely accurate.

Ohhhh, and merry Christmas.

Um, I believe the measurements from the maxpreps link were done at The Opening...I think they'd likely be accurate...at the very least, they'd be close.

He weighed in at 176 at the opening. Look it up if you don't believe me.

Yea he was 5'9 179 at the opening.. He's about 185 right now but probably will lose some muscle after the injury. He will be fine during the summer to train and get his weight up. Duke was 186 last year and 1st team ALL ACC he was more than fine at that weight..
