Surtain aint comin

Im good with blades, campbell, and ivey at corner with frierson and jobe at safety, thats a elite DB class

I like jobe at corner and blades at safety I think blades is a lil stiff

I think you're a lil retarded.

Because I gave my opinion? Ok lol

Yes. That's how I concluded that you were a lil retarded. Didn't know you were a lil retarded until I saw your retarded opinion.

Franchise don't pay him no mind. How the **** is jobe a corner and blades a safety lmao. He wants blades to be like his dad so bad. There completely different players.

In a perfect world give me surtain, blades, and jobe at corner. You have 2 big corners and blades is the pure corner. At safety give me freison FS and smith at strong.

Agreed and I don't think Samuel either. Good news is any competent coach could recruit DBs in their sleep around Miami. People always talk about diamonds in the rough but I think that position, in the area, is where you can find them in droves. Smaller, quicker, tenacious athletes.

2018 reminds me of the 2008 class, where everybody thought we were going to get Peterson, Jenkins, TJ Bryant, and Harris.

Nobody wants to hear this, but the reality is we will be fortunate to hold onto all of our current DB verbals for 2018. and even more fortunate to add one of Surtain/Samuel/Campbell. I'm not including Blades in this discussion because i'm fairly confident he signs with us.

I think you might be right. Assuming we add one more, that's 5/6 guys in '17 (depending if Deejay is considered DB or WR). Anything more than five in '18 might be unrealistic. And if we get the right ones, that would be excellent. Jobe, Ivey, Frierson, and Blades seem likely and that would leave us with fantastic quality and depth in the secondary. If other quality guys want to join that's great, but some may look at the other guys were signing. Of course Alabama doesn't seem to be having that problem. Guys keep signing up knowing they face competition with other 4/5 stars for playing time.

Just win, and these kids will be fighting to get in. Richy Richt has already shown folks that if you play games, your spot will be taken.

I remember the 2008 scenario and I agree with your assessment.

If Pat Surtain, Jr. doesn't go to LSU, my money would be on him choosing UM so he can be close to home. He likes UM and his parents like UM, but I don't know that we can overcome the huge lead LSU has on this.

He's 2018, thats two full seasons, anything can happen at this point.

Different Coaching staff & didn't program...
The only guy we have now for 2018 that we might have to worry about holding onto is Jobe, he "flirts" a lot with Bama, but he's also fully committed to us. Frierson & Ivey ain't going nowhere & Blades is a lock...
We 100% are going to add on at least one or two more DB's...
So one of from, Campbell, Samuel (I think he'll go to FSU), Troutman, Hall, Jonas & maybe Russell later on as his profile rises.
I would be shocked if Surtain Jr came here, only because Pat Sr is so enamored with LSU, it seems like it would be difficult to sway him.

The thing that Canes fans are going to have to get used to is the fact that, the Past doesn't dictate the future...
Richt ain't Shannon or Folden; what that means is, using past examples to show misses on recruiting has nothing to do with future successes.
$400+million renovated NFL stadium, $28million dollar IPF, former SEC coach coming back home with 145W's in the toughest conference in CFB, with some of the most successful players in the league from the program that he built, the legendary brand of The U, a competent staff that actually knows how to recruit & then finish it off with success on the field & competing for an ACC title, yeah... We absolutely can land 5-6 Elite DB's for #Storm18 .

If Miami heavily pursue's Samuel, I feel like he will be a cane. I'm under the impression that they aren't flirting with him much, if at all.

Proabably. Kids probably 5'9, 5'10 at best. Unless he has really long arms, and has close to phillip dorsett, ronald darby, artie burns athleticism. Thats pretty small. He might be the good though.
