I'm not going to pretend to know anything about NASCAR but this does make me pretty sad. He was the most prominent name in the sport for most of my high school and college life.
Would love to hear your reasoning behind Austin DillonFor the last 30 minutes, I've been texting non-stop with my former co-workers. Very sad news.
He was just announced to have a "serious illness" this morning, and then he died within hours. Completely unexpected and shocking.
I won't lie, I was not a fan of Kyle's, but I had respect for his wins and his competitiveness. I have to be honest, I'm not a big fan of most of the younger drivers, which is sad. But I've had the chance to spend a lot of time over the years with Austin Dillon, and I like him a lot. So I've grown to appreciate Kyle more as Austin's teammate.
And I like Chase Elliot. Hard to root against the son of Awesome Bill from Dawsonville.
I think I said it. Personal experiences and interactions, from dinners when he was in Daytona to spending time in the infield and in his pitbox. Austin and his pit crew. I liked him and his guys.Would love to hear your reasoning behind Austin DillonFor the last 30 minutes, I've been texting non-stop with my former co-workers. Very sad news.

I was asking an elaboration bc from the outside looking in Austin comes off as the spoiled grandkid. I don’t have much of an opinion on him other than the fact I don’t think he should be driving #3, but that’s not my call lol. It just interests me in the why ppl like certain drivers. I hated Logano until I saw more of him in that series they had on peacock Drive to The Championship. Kyle Busch, I always respected his driving style. Ross Chastain and Carson Hocevar in similar aspects. I’m a Chase Elliott fan even tho he only wins when they are showing the race on Fox Sports 1I think I said it. And not to speak ill of the departed, but I never had any good experiences with the Busch brothers.
Same. Same thing with Jimmie also. Found myself wanting Kyle to win the 500 this year. I REALLY hope Kurt or one of his close friends makes it their life mission to see Brexton through to the cup series and possibly beyond.I hated him, and then grew to really appreciate him. He was a throwback and for a long time he was the best in the business. He was sick after the race at Watkins Glen and then after he won the truck race last week, he looked exhausted. I think there was more here going on.

Had to be a blood clot knocked loose or brain aneurysm for it all to happen this fast.
Absolute legend. RIP Kyle.

Believe it or not but pneumonia still kills a lot of people. Especially if it goes untreated or is treated half-a**ed. If it’s true he requested medical treatment after a race and had been sick for weeks and looking exhausted, maybe then just maybe get admitted and get treatment. So that last race , isn’t your last race. Pneumonia can roar back in 12-24 hrs and overwhelm your system. But once it reaches that tipping point it’s hard to come back. RIP Kyle.41 years old is insane. All anyone has seen is either complications of a sinus infection or pneumonia ?
