RIP Coach Leach

Wanted to say heart felt thoughts to everyone here who’s shared an event, many recently, where someone close passed. God bless all of you and your families. My mother passed relatively young the day before Thanksgiving 2016. Thanksgivings will never be the same. Unfortunately she was preceded by just about every family member I spent my life growing up with. God bless the Leach family and all those who’ve shared in his life. And above all God bless Mike. May his body be calm and his spirit at peace no matter what his condition is.

I’ll say this as we are in the thick of holiday season. God bless all of you and your families. I’ve been blessed beyond what I deserve and can say it’s good to have passions in life (like our Canes) but ultimately those things pale in comparison to the experiences we share with others in life. Fatherhood, marriage, the love of experiences with those I’ve been blessed enough to have, and holding the hands with those I’ve loved as they took their last breath has shaped me and I hope the same for everyone else.

And very last but not least. As blessed a season this is for many, it’s brutally difficult for many others. A colleague of mine took his life some years back and it quickly opened my eyes to the deep and often painful introspection people take this time of year. Whether it’s you or someone you know or love, remember with one exception there’s always another day. Don’t be afraid to get help or be man enough to stick your neck out to help someone who sees this time of year different than many of us.

This is Sad! It really put things into perspective.. Life and Family comes before football. May his family find peace and know the entire college word is thinking of them in a time like this ! 😔
