I have a vague recollection we recruited him. I think he visited us.

We went through a period where a lot of the top Texas and Louisiana kids visited.

I recall us recruiting the older Beckham. That guy Strait who was top RB in country, went to Baylor and did nothing. He visited us wearing cowboy boots and people thought that was unusual.

Probably even tougher for us to get those kids now--if they go out-of-state it will be LSU or Bama.

They're too fun, although I don't think I would ever drive them in heavy traffic. If I made it to the league by some miracle time machine I would ride them, i'm not gonna be cooped up in my house afraid of everything that COULD happen.

Yeah just being in traffic and seeing literally no one looking at the road, instead looking down at their phones...scary.

What was Benson doing post NFL?
