Riley Williams and Isaiah Horton

Good assessment. Agree with everything except Harris. It's not that he isn't good, he's flat out terrible. I'm still confused as to why UGA accepted him as a transfer. Dude shouldn't be playing for an FBS squad, let alone teams like UGA or Miami.
I FOLLOWED WHAT UGA WAS DOING A BIT IN THE OFF SZN.

IT LOOKS LIKE WHAT KIRBY TRIED TO DO WAS GO AFTER SOME LOCAL GA KIDS OUT OF THE PORTAL FOR DEPTH PURPOSES THAT THEY LIKELY KNEW THEY COULD GET ON THE CHEAPER RATE FOR NIL WITH MULTIPLE YEARS.

How about instead of asking @cway313 to define a word he already defined, you tell us how YOU define the word JAG?

It seems you don't understand what a JAG is.
I don’t see how Horton is a JAG. He has performed at two of the two schools in the country. Place him on any none top 25 school and he is the number 1 WR.

does a JAG for 2025 Miami who is a stud for 2023 Miami still get the JAG label? Does a freshman that doesn’t play any get the label or do we wait until they look average as a sophomore even though though they have 4 years to play?

My definition of a JAG would be an upper class man that is getting playing time when they clearly aren’t a fit talent wise compared to the others playing on the team. 87 is my example. Every once in a while we get to see enough of a underclass man to throw the label on them. Otherwise, it takes some longer than others to develop. A great example of a JAG turned first rounder would be Phillips, at UCLA he was a tooth pick that didn’t seem to have a chance. Transfers here, adds lots of muscle, performs and is now in the NFL.

Not every kid that sits of under performs as an under classman is a JAG. There are lots of talented kids that haven’t developed yet that have it all click as an 3,4,5,6th year player.

Horton in 3 games 9 rec 105 2 TDs. From what I understand, he wasn’t comfortable w the playbook initially, & DeBoer made a concerted effort to get him more targets against Wisky. Kalen could be heard on the sidelines running to Horton screaming “I told you, I told you, just be patient & we got u” after he scored his TD. Also, it’s been reported that Horton hasn’t been playing at 100% to start the season dealing w a lower extremity injury.
He got hurt and never returned early vs FSU

Horton if healthy would likely be our #1 at worst 2 at wr i dont know what these folks be talking about lol

dude got good nil and his boy he has trained and played with since hs was gonna be the starter at qb.

Alll the talk about wr #4 etc just sounds foolish...he left an cj daniels came in..who we likely would of got any way with Horton here. A guy like Johnson wouldnt have been needed and we wouldnt have to be seeing 500000 post on gameday threads about when Jo Jo Trader will be getting in.
We have who we have no need for the sour grapes and whining

If you think Phillips was a JAG you have no idea what a JAG is.

His last year at UCLA in 2018. 1 snack, 20 tackles. 100% elevated that team. Took it on his shoulders.

****, you’re right.

I do have a question for you though.

For your cherry-picked year of 2018, how many games did he play in?

My bad 4 games on a 3-9 ****** team.
6-7 in 2017 when he had 21 /3.5

I’m not looking to cherry pick. i need to get sleep. I’ll try to find some others. How about the Miami kids that transferred to SMU? They didn’t perform great at Miami but perform great there? BSmith, Roberts, … I’m not looking for a fight. Just trying to understand this definition as kids that don’t elevate a team aren’t always bad kids.

We have three transfers who are playing decent ball -- Brinson at SMU, Chris Graves at Ole Miss, Kelly over at UCF. Darrell Jackson if you even count him.

We have a bunch of guys that are contributing on P4 teams. CJ would probably have the same role with us as he has for Lashlee, so I think that one's a lose/lose. Jaleel Skinner is with the ones at Louisville. Nice kid, bad fit for the blocking TE Mario demands. Kaleb Spencer starts for Va Tech at LB. Zion Nelson -- yes THAT Zion Nelson -- splits starting reps at LT for SMU. Looking forward to seeing how Bain and Mesidor greet him when we play. Karnley is in the rotation at UVA. Robert Stafford starts at UCLA and Dyoni Hill starts for Wisconsin. Might explain why those teams are so bad this year.

We have another group that found homes. Jaden Wayne is second team for Cal, nothing special. Jamil Burroughs is second string DT at Mississippi State, nothing special. Savion Riley second string S at Ga Tech now, nothing special. Freeney benchwarmer at Boise State. Tripp starts at RG for FIU. Ajay Allen is 3rd back and rotates in at Tulsa. Robby Washington is in the rotation at Coastal Carolina, has 114 yards receiving in 4 games. Zaquan Patterson landed at Alabama State after being dismissed from the team at Oklahoma State. Shemar Kirk starts for Austin Peay at WR, has 150 receiving yards in 3 games. Rudolph is third string DE at UNLV. Poffenbarger is QB2 at North Texas. Tre'vonte Citizen is at McNeese State and putting up decent stats now. Given his injury, good to see he rehabbed his way back onto the field.
I forgot about Citizen. Had really high hopes for him

Zion looks huge.

Just compare this to 2019:

Love that he fought through the injury and is back playing football. Just wish that it were here.

We rushed him and he suffered for it. But in the end, we stayed loyal to him during his rehab and he battled back. I see it as a win/win. He's got a second chance, and there's no way he's starting ahead of our two OTs, the last two years.

No but I am high as a kite on morphine and oxy post major surgery. Lol pardon me if my thoughts aren’t clear.

I’m still wondering how he defines jags. We agree on 87.

I guess every kid is a jag unless they start and perform at a high level. It doesn’t matter if a future nfl starter is ahead of them…you didn’t beat them out so you are a jag!
Dee Wiggins JAG

Toney a dude.

Jaden not a jag he's unplayable.
Zach Mccloud jag

Wes was a jag. Beast now.

So players can change. This is my point…everyone calls young players jags…well some take time to develop. We have lots of fans that want to push these Jags out even though they are on a path to be beasts but the timeline isn’t fast enough for fans.

Is the extra NIL worth it to go from being a #1 with a team dominating to a #3 and a team that got blown out by FSU. I mean here he would have put up stats that would have helped get him drafted and now he's going to have WR3 stats. I think the kid made a mistake. 🤷‍♂️

Hope you have a defibrillator nearby.

You must have major opioid tolerance.

In any event, good luck in your recovery. And joking aside, wish you the best.
