ride with fletcher

The original post said Mark Fletcher was the worst back in our rotation, and that Marty and Lyle were clearly the better backs. That’s a bad take. Fletcher has been the clear best, most productive back in our offense. You may not like his style of running or his “lack of wiggle” but the ability to move the ball down the field is currently aided significantly by handing #4 the ball versus #2, and to a lesser extent #6
So when I asked, Just to clarify, some people said some dumb s.h.it and you used a hyperbolic retort about being tackled by breath to make your real point which is that Mark and Marty are better than Lyle?, your answer is yes. Wouldn't it have been easier to just type "yes"?

IMO Brown has looked the best this year. He should get more carries.
I've actually thought the same thing. He always gets those tough yards. Seems like he's stopped in the backfield for no gain or 1 yd loss, but he ends up turning it into positive yards. He's been the best as a receiver out of the backfield and he's great in pass protection.

We have games like last night where we didn't see much of him. I personally think it should be Fletcher and Brown as our two guys that rotate and get the carries. Lyle might be good, but he doesn't add that much based on our current run scheme.

It's him and Fletcher and then Lyle at the 3rd. Lyle had a great TD run after we wore them down on the previous 3 drives and CIS is ready to crown him as RB #1 again.

Alright big guy

They all have their strengths. The way the run game is set up Fletcher and Brown are going to be more successful.

If Dawson could ever demand to run a different scheme, or even a few wrinkles, he might be able to use Lyle and even CWH more effectively. They managed to shake it up the last 4-5 minutes with the backups in. Idk why they can’t start that way.

Fletcher is average, but it doesn't take a special back to run HB dive over and over. He's plays hard and deserves credit.

Lyle is gone, won't be here next year. I could see it in his face last night. He is ****ed about playing time and our idiotic run scheme. He's talented, and could be a really good back on a different team.
He’s been *****ing since he got here

I’m shocked he’s still here and our staff letting him dictate portal decisions is pathetic

i'm not suggesting fletcher is the most talented, but i'm not sure who any can disagree that he hits the whole and gets whats there ... lyle is talented, hopefully he can find a groove as the year progresses

I like Fletcher, think he’s better than a lot of posters seem to while not being as good as D$ does, but this play was shades of Trent Richardson (derogatory)

He had the sideline after 10 yards but instead wanted to run over more guys and avoid the td

Has this not been proven this year at this point? What games are people watching? When he and Brown get most of the carries and we stick with it, the offense works. Not even sure what the discussion is about at this juncture.

Fletch is a true mudder, he also has a good understanding of the scheme and how he fits into it. Does he have superlative vision? No, but he has enough vision to be effective.

CWH gonna end up at SMU. Fits their scheme perfectly.

Who CIS thinks Lyle is if he transfers:

Brashard Smith

Who Lyle actually is if he transfers:

Jaylan Knighton
Don Chaney
Henry Parrish
Thad Franklin
Ajay Allen

Looks like he's out this week and Daniels and OJ are out for "weeks," which does not sound promising.

Lyle has a very high ceiling. He flashed last year, more than just the 91 yard TD. With an actual running attack that takes advantage of his skill set he will do great. Our problem is we recruit speed backs and want them to be 225 lb power backs.
