Mfs trippin. We were lucky to get Richt. Clemson is a great, established team. Talent is not close.

This loss, and last weeks, objectively suck. Richt is absolutely not an elite play caller, and should probably find someone else to do it or promote Thomas Brown. That being said, our defense does not suck like you said earlier, Richt does not come close to making "the worst game day decisions known to mankind" (did you watch any Miami football for the last 10 years?) and he absolutely does not constantly get out-coached. Your consideration of his firing is easily the silliest thing I've read on this site in a while, and that's saying something. Take a couple plays off, appreciate how how much better this season has gone than any since Sean Taylor was in the secondary, and come back stronger for it.

Don't need to answer the second question. Georgia hasn't done anything with Smart that they didn't do with Richt. Smart also has the luxury of being the coach of Georgia when the SEC has had it's worst season since Saban's first year at Alabama. Let's see how Smart does against Clemson or Oklahoma before we're ready to crown him.

Bama couldn't beat them with the best coach in the land and NFL talent across the board but Richt with severe lack of depth, a below average QB, and his top 3 playmakers was supposed to.

Richt can recruit. But Kirby has the Dawgs in the playoffs winning the SEC. I like Richt, but his stigma is he doesn't win big games against championship caliber teams. So far the stigma holds. I hope he can change that in the future.

This loss isn't on Richt and I'm a tough Richt critic. Malik had 77 yards passing. That's just simply not good enough.

Oh don't forget when mark came out of the half, caught a pass for a first down,.. Then fumbled!!....... Or when on the next series, ..when he was playing receiver, and let the ball go right through his hands, into the waiting defender, for another interception!! ...... Yeah,...coach Richt was having a bad game!!
 
I hate to bad mouth my team and complain about those obvious areas where we are extremely anemic... these are college guys not pros making millions. We had some fabulous wins this year and we are 10-2. I have faith that coach CMR will make the necessary adjustments and I have faith in his recruiting. We need to look to the future and for now prepare for the Orange Bowl against a tuff Bama.
I will be a Cane until the day they lay me to rest!
 
There’s a bunch of problems with Richt’s playcalling but the 3 things that stand out are
- Too many low percentage vertical shots
- lack of imagination in the run game
- no motion
I love Richt as a HC and maybe Rosier is so bad that he ******* up the O but I’d love to see CMR hire Helfrich or another young OC
