Richt the QB coach.....actual facts......

You bring up a lot of valid points. I'm busy so I'm not gonna get into the minutia.

Cool Beans

I would've hired Richt and I'm happy with the results so far. I'm not gonna defend everything he does or has done to this point. Everyone is fallible including him, but I'll take it.

There is that quote about treasure and trash and the POV of another person.

Season 3 is one game old.......

In game 27 he was still making mistakes he made in the prior 26 games.

My expectation was to get to the ACCCG in 2018. We aren't beating Clemson. This is not an elite squad and most everyone knew that going into LSU.

If he doesn't accomplish that, then I'll get concerned.

I do have confidence he will find a QB. He seems to do that regardless of the record.

What do Jon Richts numbers look like?

Funny the stats that were staring people right in the face are just starting to become pronounced

Beating Clemson? We're struggling with teams with drastically inferior talent like Pitt last year.

This is not an elite squad and most everyone knew that going into LSU.

And we should have beat LSU and Ed O (that atrocious coach).

Do we need to be elite to beat Pitt? How does Paul Chryst do it with his bums?

If he doesn't accomplish that, then I'll get concerned.

Accomplish what?

It is year 3, he should have found it by now.

Also, you made no comment about the obvious concerns about the coaching. When do those get addressed? They're more of a concern then the QB situation.

Pitt game obviously sucked. What do you want me to say about it? And what?

Woulda, coulda, shoulda. We need a QB, which has been discussed for the last week. And?

Ok, that's your opinion. We got 3 freshman on the roster with no snaps. Looks like the problem is about to be solved.

And Like I explained to you before, I am not going to defend everything Richt does.

This thread is about QB coaching, not Richt as a HC........

1. Is that how you dismiss obvious issues? “What do you want me to say about it?” I like that.

2. As for QB coaching, I explained how perhaps Richt is doing way too much to properly coach the QBs. Then I went further on the topic.

Rosier is something like 46% in his last 6 games and was 53% last
Here's 27 years of Richt QB's. In 19 seasons a Richt QB has been above 140! He's only had 5 seasons below a QB rating of 130. He's had a QB with a rating over 150 in 9 seasons. Miami has only 3 QB's put up a rating over 150, and one of those is Kaaya whom was coached by Richt.

What does this mean? Welp the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. So one could say it's highly likely Richt will find a QB and start putting up some big numbers. Most likely he will start breaking records at Miami with his QB's. It's coming fellas. I know everyone including me is fed up with QB play costing this team games, but we have a proven coach that can fix that issue. He's done it over and over and over. Richt has 3 young QB's warming up, and they are about to battle it out for the ball. It's just around the corner, let's look forward to it......

These are the QB ratings he's coached....

2017 - 131.1 Rosier
2016 - 150.3 Kaaya (his best season)
2015 - 141.5
2014 - 155.7
2013 - 158.8
2012 - 174.8
2011 - 146.4
2010 - 154.5
2009 - 136.3
2008 - 153.5 Stafford
2007 - 128.9 Stafford
2006 - 109.0 Stafford
2005 - 148.3
2004 - 148.4
2003 - 128.5
2002 - 137.3
2001 - 143.6
2000 - 163.1
1999 - 145.1

And yet, we're in year 3 of the Rix era and his QBs are nowhere to be found up to this point. Meanwhile, Rosier is one of the most inefficient QBs in Miami football history.

Last 6 games Rosier is less than 50%.

Crown Rix.
