Here's 27 years of Richt QB's. In 19 seasons a Richt QB has been above 140! He's only had 5 seasons below a QB rating of 130. He's had a QB with a rating over 150 in 9 seasons. Miami has only 3 QB's put up a rating over 150, and one of those is Kaaya whom was coached by Richt.

What does this mean? Welp the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. So one could say it's highly likely Richt will find a QB and start putting up some big numbers. Most likely he will start breaking records at Miami with his QB's. It's coming fellas. I know everyone including me is fed up with QB play costing this team games, but we have a proven coach that can fix that issue. He's done it over and over and over. Richt has 3 young QB's warming up, and they are about to battle it out for the ball. It's just around the corner, let's look forward to it......

These are the QB ratings he's coached....

2017 - 131.1 Rosier
2016 - 150.3 Kaaya (his best season)
2015 - 141.5
2014 - 155.7
2013 - 158.8
2012 - 174.8
2011 - 146.4
2010 - 154.5
2009 - 136.3
2008 - 153.5 Stafford
2007 - 128.9 Stafford
2006 - 109.0 Stafford
2005 - 148.3
2004 - 148.4
2003 - 128.5
2002 - 137.3
2001 - 143.6
2000 - 163.1
1999 - 145.1
1998 - 141.5
1997 - 147.7
1996 - 131.5
1995 - 145.5
1994 - 129.1
1993 - 157.8
1992 - 127.4
1991 - 146.3
1990 - 152.7

I don't G.A.S about QBR or any of that crap, I know what I saw last weekend, the other guy was on a different team last year and had a fraction of the blunders. If our guy wasn't ready, that's on the coaches. If he isn't good enough, that's also on the coaches. It's year 3.

I will say this.....i would like out offense to start to look a little more like Oklahoma's but that's not gonna happen to we have a more accurate QB

Can't say I disagree. It's on the coaches and the three freshman to step up to the plate.

These are the QB ratings he's coached....

2017 - 131.1 Rosier [75th]
2016 - 150.3 Kaaya (his best season) [23rd]
2015 - 141.5 [42nd]
2014 - 155.7 [11th]
2013 - 158.8 [12th]
2012 - 174.8 [2nd]
2011 - 146.4 [27th]
2010 - 154.5 [14th]
2009 - 136.3 [42nd]
2008 - 153.5 Stafford [14th]

I added the actual ranking of said QB compared to others in the nation, just for context.

Average QB Ranking the last 5 years: 32.6

Average QB Ranking the last 10 years: 26.2

Please note the following:

1. I only choose to go for the last 10 years.

2. During the majority of that span 2008-2015, he wasn't the OC as well.

3. I used the stats from this website below.

College Football Player Stats & Stats Leaders - QB Rating

2015 - 141.5 [42nd]
2014 - 155.7 [11th]
2013 - 158.8 [12th]
2012 - 174.8 [2nd]
2011 - 146.4 [27th]
2010 - 154.5 [14th]
2009 - 136.3 [42nd]
2008 - 153.5 Stafford [14th]
--------------------------------- Richt Stopped Being the OC Here----------------------
2007 - 128.9 Stafford [55th]
2006 - 109.0 Stafford [92nd]
2005 - 148.3 [15th]
2004 - 148.4 [10th]
2003 - 128.5 [50th]
2002 - 137.3 [20th]
2001 - 143.6 [22nd]

Average QB Ranking as both the OC & HC (2001-07): 37.7

Average QB Ranking as just the HC (2008-15): 20.5

Perhaps Richt should stop doing more and just coach the QBs and NOT the whole offense.

Good point. Right now, he's the Head Coach, the OC calling plays, and the QB coach with his son assisting. I have my worries it's too much.

The problem is it shouldn't have taken this long to figure this out...

1. When he tried this experiment at UGA, the offense performed as follows:

Average with Richt as the OC + HC (at UGA)

Total Offense (YPG avg): 384
Scoring Offense (PPG avg): 28.5

Average with Bobo as the OC (Richt just the HC)

Total Offense (YPG avg): 421
Scoring Offense (PPG avg): 34.1

2. Assuming you thought that you learned from your past experiences (or the prior 15 years), wouldn't you hire the best help you could get? Who hires their unqualified son and zero coaches (who know how to play call and diagnose an offense) to help? Then, even if you were insistent on maintaining the status quo, when given the opportunity to hire an additional coach, who hires a defensive guy with the obvious issues above?

These are obvious issues too.

3. Here is your original quote...

So one could say it's highly likely Richt will find a QB and start putting up some big numbers

It is year 3 and he went with Rosier in game one after that "amazing" season he had last year. Perhaps this is more telling than his whole career as a QB coach? Perhaps he doesn't know what is best anymore? Perhaps he is over his head?

I don't know.

4. You also said the following...

Welp the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior

Then you wouldn't of hired Richt in the first place because he hasn't done anything of real relevance in a long time. You also wouldn't have let him coach the offense as well (be the OC).

You bring up a lot of valid points. I'm busy so I'm not gonna get into the minutia.

I would've hired Richt and I'm happy with the results so far. I'm not gonna defend everything he does or has done to this point. Everyone is fallible including him, but I'll take it.

Season 3 is one game old.......
