Richt responds to criticism, preps for Duke

"Everyone else seems in a tizzy." Here's my question corch...Why the **** are you and your staff and the whole offense not in a F'in tizzy?! You have scored a total of 27 points in two games. Your QB can't hit the broad side of a barn and your offensive line is a revolving door. Your play calling is being made fun of on national TV. So I ask again corch, why are you not in a tizzy?

SMDH!

here comes the golden excuses. playing too many freshman? spare me. the freshman are way more talented than malik, cager, knowles, etc
also, he forgets they were 10-0 last year with AR walton and others hurt.

“I respond to it in that there’s nothing wrong with the plays being called,” Richt said. “What’s wrong is we haven’t executed well enough. If anyone saw what we’re doing, how we’re doing it, if the know football they know we have to do a better job of executing what we call… The plays have a chance for success if everyone does what they need to do.”

There you have it. The ol' "if every single person does their job perfectly" routine. We listened to the same for defense under the previous regime. Coach Richt must know something that basically every other coach doesn't. Because, perhaps I don't know football, but I know he lines up formations and calls plays differently than the very best in the NFL, the most productive in college and even some of the top in HS. Whatever. I guess he has to say something and this is it. Disappointing.

Will be fired in 2 years.

If I was a reciever I would sore eyes also just from.watching the inept passing game with this offense.

As long as the play calls are predictable you can forget about the guys being able to execute consistently. At this point when the RB motions next to the QB the opposing defense is shifting

Its all about the dreadful QB play and the blueprint for beating a Rosier QB'ed team is so popular its already in soft cover production.

We have one playmaker in the WR core and he now gets bracketed. The other WRs don't get open regularly (part scheme and part talent), and if they do there is a slim chance the OL actually protects .... and even if the WR gets open and the OL blocks properly, then its still 40/60 that Rosier delivers an accurate pass.

“You can only rep so many plays against so many looks,” Richt said. “Every once in a while there might be a defense that wasn’t exactly what we had practiced against the scout team and the scout team can’t simulate perfectly the team you’re about to play.”

It’s quite the vicious cycle isn’t it? I hate being so apathetic now, but until Richt is gone I cannot allow myself to care about this team anymore

It's time to go to defcom 5 from a fanbase perspective. This old piece of overrated garbage has no idea what a "tizzy" is.

Parapharsing:

"The walk from the Duke locker room was very long" - Randy Shannon

"We play too many night games" - Al Golden

We can add Richt to this list.

Yup, but Richt leaving isn't happening anytime soon so we need to either change up the scheme to actually put defenses on their heels or get a QB that can execute the gameplan better otherwise its Groundhog Day.

******* unbelievable, back-to-back coaches that are too smart for everybody and everybody who criticizes them just doesn't know football. We're paying more just to have another Golden.
