Richt picks Miami to lose bowl game

We lost to fiu.

And I don't root for losses regardless of how bad any staff is. But strictly from a betting and fb perspective, I would pick any team over us until this staff proves they can beat the fiu and dukes of the world. LA Tech is the right pick.

That may be it as well but same result: young players get game experience and old players/old mindset are phased out. Either way, I'm not expecting a win.. It's like a glorified spring training game in my opinion
I wouldn't expect a win either way with the amount of quit this team has. It's not even quit, really. They never got going enough to quit. They just never show up at all.

richt was a very good coach. we got him too late. he fell off after around 2004-2005. still strong enough to win 10 games and recruit but he was clearly burned out. he never had a break from coaching. how many coaches coached at a high level that many years straight starting with FSU through Miami?

I've know Mark since he was Boca. He is really good man and I like him a lot. However, he is missing that it thing a title coach needs. He is not big enough for the moment. His best start ever was 2017 here at The U, 10-0. That was his moment to seize. Ranked # 2 and we owned the news cycle. Then he loses to Pitt and it was over. Win that game, put up respectable game against Clemson then win a winnable OB game against WI and recruiting leapfrogs to top 5 or maybe 3. That was his moment. Hey, beating Clemson would have moved him toward Howard level but I doubt that team could have done it. But he had to beat Pitt and WI. Then all **** would have broken loose. But, as was his history, he could not stick that dive.

Had Mark come here earlier when Butch players were still around, maybe it would have been different but I doubt it. Sure No even Mark could have ***** up the first NC Coker won. Then again that is not certain. What if he crushed Ed's gambler moves? That team was run by Ken and Ed. What if Mark didn't allow that? I assume anyone could have won that title but mostly it would be to do nothing. I guy that has a proper way to cut and eat a sandwich does just leave thing alone. All that said, Mark and Howard are the two coaches we have had that would always be welcome in my home.

Not true he was a hair away from winning the sec in 2012 and then putting a whooping on ND in the National championship game. I’d say after that heart breaking loss to Alabama is when richt lost his steam.

I’m not saying he was a title winner and not a choke artist. He’s a very good coach. Not great

Richt wallowed in the cesspool of nepotism. It brought him down. Worse, it hurt the program immensely. Finally, he realized what he did and, with a little push, quit. Grade C-

He knew we were getting fuqed with Diaz he fuqin knew it man. U can't be honest to the admin when your friends with people.....he should of stopped them from hiring this bum.

They did those picks on ACC network the other day. Richt doesn't look right; movements and talking seems much different than others guys on the set.

Nothing about this program right now leads you to believe they're going to do anything other than fall flat on their face in Shreveport.

La Tech by double digits.

It’s a shame he didn’t cede control of the offense to an OC and hire a legit DC to replace Diaz once he left.

He was by far the best coach we’ve had since since Butch.

With two solid coordinators, we could’ve been really good.

Good in his prime, but a burned out version of Mark Richt from 2016 through 2018—that ain't saying much. The man was a shell of himself by the time he showed up in Coral Gables—run down for 15 years in the SEC.

Interest was piqued when his alma mater called. Rolled in tired, uninspired and after three years—he quickly realized he didn't have the energy for the type of rebuild a dead-*** Miami program needed; the Hurricanes in the toilet for well over a decade at the time.

Richt would've needed to completely reinvent and rejuvenate himself to take on what Miami needed—and he obviously didn't have that fire or passion.

Those are two huge "ifs"—IF he replaced Diaz with a next-level defensive coordinator and IF he was willing to dump his kid to hire some offensive muscle.

Shame he didn't do it, as his tenure ultimately moved to be another wasted era for the Hurricanes—sans what he did off-the-field to help the program—because on it, his ways helped lead to this lazy, dead-*** culture that persists at UM.

I am also picking them to lose. Please, no long threads analyzing my pick. Respect my decision. God is great. 🙏
