Richt on radio today

There was no way Richt was throwing a 3rd stringer in for his first playing time against LSU D. And he shouldn't of . I suspect Perry will play alot on Saturday and unless Rosier is just excellent the next 3-4 games by FSU Perry is the starter. Weldon isn't athletic enough IMO to be a starter in a Richt offense but I could be wrong.

pfffffff,VTech at night, in Blacksburg is licking their chops at what they saw of our offense against LSU.

That's fine. Not worried about them at the end of the year right now to be honest. We'll know a lot more about our team by then, but lets get to the panhandle school first.

There D isn't near as good as LSU's but you are correct they are the only other great D we will see. BC's is pretty good too. But I still think UM might not lose again til the Clemson game in the ACCTG.

First of all if Perry or Weldon isn't ready then it's his son's fault. Second why didn't Richt try and bring in a Grad transfer?
I would say it would scare off recruits but I mean it’s not like we are recruiting anyways

You have fair points in your post especially about Lil Richt being attached at the hip. I'm not totally defending CMR. I just think he's in a tough spot.
I agree he’s in a tough spot, it’s especially tough because his qb has played awful the past 4 games, and in all 4 of those games our receivers had good looks and we’re missed. I also don’t think it’s a coincidence that all 4 of those teams were good defensive teams but 3 of the 4 were very winnable for us.

I’m not worried about this. Richt is not a dummy. By the time we get into the meat of conference play I’m confident rosier will be riding pine. Anytime richt spoke about the QB situation this offseason he said malik will have to play well to keep his job. And he hasnt. Just let it play out

Well I'm worried about it. Richt isn't dumb, but he is 1 worse...Stubborn. I'm not confident Richt pulls Rosier unless the season is gone, like having 3 losses already

Seeing Rosier's name at the top of the depth chart today absolutely disgusts me. Shocked? No, but ****, Richt!

I don't wish injury upon anybody, especially regarding our players. But.................what If Rosier caught a really bad cold or case of the flu, and therefore would have to miss practice this week. There has to be at least one fan that lives in south florida and is currently battling the flu. If you are reading this post and you fit the above mentioned description, it is your duty, for the sake of our program, to immediately go find Malik and sneeze on that ma****er!

I agree with everything you say. CMR knows what the problem is, EVERYONE does, but sometimes the cure is worse than the cancer.

If i am CMR i'm thinking if i can have a 9-10 win year with Malik while bringing 2 of the 3 along then i am all for it. Will suck for us fans and message board folks, but i am for it. If we have a 7-5 8-4 year with the others i go with Malik. Recruiting is momentum and perception.

There is a slight difference. Tua played in about 7 games last year before that championship game.

Ur right; how did I forget his 5 minutes of game action against the likes of Charleston Northern, Saskatchewan St, Northern Idaho of California, Pilgrim Instiute of Judean Studies, College of Wisconsin in Green Bay, Liberty School of Arts, and the mighty Vanderbilt. I’m sure those games gave Nick the balls to put him in, down 10+ points, against the # 2 team in the nation. Lol

I watched our game, and I watched the FSU game last night. We're going to smoke them. We just need to get our QB situation worked out, and we'll be rolling.

I don't know about smoking them per se, just cause it's rivalry and no one ever seems to smoke the other unless they have an AMAZING team that year. However i agree that if we got our QB right we could get it rolling.

Specials need to be addressed tho. We will lose another game we shouldn't because of bad specials if that phase of our team doesn't get better

Just what quarterbacks has this guru mentored in the last 10 years, and just what has little Richt done, I never even heard of the dude. Imo richt's time has passed and has nothing to do with age

I get it and i'm not happy about it either, but why beat a dead horse. Sucks, sure does. I guess i feel like i understand CMR is in a tough spot at HC. You don't want to absolutely destroy Malik's confidence because, even if a switch is made, there will be a point in time this year that we need him again.

I hope for my happiness, my dogs happiness, my families happiness that a move is made and we see anyone else but 12. Like a lot of people said, which is very logical, if that's what 12 does then why not see Kosi? If our oline sucks then put the kid who can actually throw while his feet are in motion back there. It can't get worse and the team might rally. I agree with all of this, however i'm not willing to trash our coach, our OC, maybe the gripes about his son are justified, but i will also look at reality and come to grips with what is about to happen. Only thing that made my weekend tolerable was horrid show that school in the panhandle put on last night.
Malik HAS no confidence. He is not a born leader. He is not a winner. All he is is a position holder. For the life of me I can’t see how Richt can’t see he sucks. How is it possible that a QB can be so **** bad and not get benched?

Even Al Golden had the balls to play a true freshman, because he was the most talented. Mark Richt would have gone with Jake Heaps. God, what a bizarre twist. Richt went from being the coach I wanted to see stay here long term to an incompetent old man in a month.

Still blows me away that Williams showed the most promise in the spring to 4th string with no chance to start. Oh, I guess poor little Malik couldn’t have his ego crushed by competition. Pathetic.

It's year 3 of the richtirement era and we are praising a personnel move golden made over one MR seems reluctant to do. Good god where are we as a program.

It’s mind blowing. Year 3 and our QB guru is stuck with Goldens backup QB as his starter.

I think Taggart is that bad. Like Al Golden bad, maybe even worse. FSU is going to regret that hire for a long time.

As bad as we looked on Sunday, FSU got totally destroyed.... and by a much worse team than we lost to. They looked terrible.

Yes, the rivalry has always produced close games, but remember that in all those games, FSU has always had good coaches - from Bobby Bowden to Jimbo Fisher - they have NEVER had to deal with inept and terrible coaching like this. Add to that, they're coming in to our house, and it's not looking pretty for them.

We roll.

some kids lights go out when the big lights come on and some simply light it up...you never know until you let them feel the pressure of an opponent...practice is NEVER as intense as game time. The worse practice player might be your best gamer. Does anyone think that in practice the sideline elation we saw from LSU occurs? Did anyone see the VT sideline last night...that emotion only happens during a game and football is an EMOTIONAL game.

This is just pure, unadulterated gold!! "Pilgrim Instiute of Judean Studies" !!! That was amazing!!
