Richt on QAM this morning...

Well, when the previous regime's players are graduating and leaving the program, yours (Richt's) are starting to take over. You're supposed to be going in a positive direction, not a negative one. In this event, why hasn't Manny experienced the same decline? Why going into year 4 do you not have a proven QB then? If QB development's a problem, why don't we evaluate the QB coach then? If OL is the problem, why don't we evaluate the OL? Why did UF have dumpster fire of an offense, QB, OL last year, yet they've performed better on that side of the ball this year in Mullen's first year?

Look...Malik always had a ceiling and Richt bought him another season with great coaching last year (maybe too good a job), but no way should he have been playing against LSU. That was N'Kosi's time to play and he really screwed the pooch. Neither Manny nor Mullen have a Malik Rosier backed up by a ton of immaturity and inexperience. Richt did a **** of a job with Malik no matter what the mob says, but If you wanna bash him for the Perry evaluation, fine.

Either way Perry's lack of development/maturity set us back and forced Richt to stay with Malik longer than he should have. OL is just starting to turn over with Scaife, Boulware, and the like. Next season Williams, Reed, Campbell and several more Richt players will have the experience, physical development and opportunity to compete at a high level. I know the mopes are gonna cry about that, but the defense is playing well because it wasn't in as deep a talent hole and turned over from the last staff. It is what it is.

He’s a loser. He’s fine with putting up pedestrian numbers as long as he can sneak out with wins. Problem is he can’t beat any good teams with that trash offense of his and will even lose to some bad ones like he did this year. That offense leaves no margin for error.

at one time this philosophy(as maddening as it is) might have been OK. But in today's game, you need to consistently score 30-plus(at least) a game or it will be hard to really have great seasons. Yeah, defense may still win championships but a bad offense can lose one.

And in Miami's case it was the difference between a possible 11-1 season and one that turned out 7-5.

I’m sure Richt is planning on making adjustments and he already has with going to a spread as his base formation against Pitt. Maybe he hires an OC we’ll see in the off season.

BUT the overall ranking isn’t completely on him... that side of the ball had more issues since he got here, I’m sure he didn’t realize the situation at OL was that bad, I didn’t either but it really is when all of your vets aside from Boulware are trash.

And also issues at the QB position making it worse.
"Situation at OL was that bad", your words.
So why is he keeping OL coach as stated by 4* recruit..

This is all fluff to me. How do we know we're going to get better up front? I haven't seen one offensive linemen get better. Donaldson, after being pegged at tackle which most saw that as a bad move, go back to guard and played worst than last season (took the staff nearly half a season to move him).

I stopped reading after "great coaching last year." Last year was great luck, not great coaching.

U are responding to him with facts and he continues to dish fluff. How many times does some of our fans need to see the same movie, but constantly expect a different outcome. I’m an optimist but this is pathetic. Dudes are masochists

I'm an optimist as well. I didn't want to knock the hire because I saw Richt with a good track record and though he realized what his issues at Georgia word. I also thought pride would take over and he'd be motivated to win before Georgia did. That doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon.

DJ Scaife and Boulware will be solid starters

Because Richt doesn't think his offense is the problem. Something for you to chew on:

Can't argue with facts, no matter how you twist it.
