Power move. I'd force out Banda & Patke, hire a DC like Raymond, Grinch or Ansley and Barrow for LBs/STs. Final coach would be Briles.

The biggest kick in the nuts to me would be the combination of:

1) No changes on offense (stubborn AF)
2) Hiring a DC that runs a base 3-4 (SFL recruiting base doesn't fit it - we saw it under Golden/No'D
3) Recruiting class finishes outside top 40 nationally (could realistically happen)

If that all happens, we should be ready to storm the Hecht like the townspeople stormed Dr. Frankenstein's castle.

2) I don't think that's Richt's bag baby
3) Best to emotionally prepare yourself

If we're going the route of an inexperienced playcaller then this is clearly the best path. I'm assuming you think Banda is gone too if you have a spot for Barrow? I probably give Simpson a raise/meaningless additional title by the midpoint of next season if he continues to perform at similar levels.

Upon hearing that Andrews can't remember his own name and hasn't been out of the nursing home in 18 months, Richt's response will be "perfect! So you're saying he'll be loyal."...

The two most useless coaches on defense right now, for actually teaching the position are Patke and Banda. The only bad thing about losing Banda would be recruiting, particularly Tyrique Stevenson this year. Plus Rumph can be a CB or S coach. However his biggest problem is recruiting. Patke would not be a loss at all though (so hopefully he joins Diaz at Temple), which means no matter what, we need a new LB coach.

So Either way I think our DC will be a DB or LB coach. And I think we will need a new LB coach no matter what.
